First WILD on 3rd Night Trying

It was interesting to say the least. I have a tendency to wake up a few times during the night and I had remembered that that is one of the best times to try a wild. So I look at the clock, turn around and lay down.

I closed my eyes and kept my mind awake by imagining a scene for which I could start my lucid dream. Oddly that isn't where my dream started, but crazy things started to happen to my body that were almost scary.

My body started tingling and then I heard a really loud sound in my ears, almost like millions of bees right by it, then my body went numb and I wasn't breathing. Then I opened my eyes.

When I opened them I saw my room. It was dark, but I had remembered that when I woke up for real before I started the WILD that it was light out. I looked at the clock, and and looked away to do a reality check, I was hoping it would change and it did.

I got really excited and my heart started pounding so i remembered what a few people here said to try and ground myself and i started touching everything around me felt it, examining the texture and I had noticed that while I was doing this everything felt intensely real, more real than it does in Real life. I just walked around my house feeling things for awhile conjuring up a few items here and there. I really just tried to experiment with it.

Only thing is I get myself too excited and tend to wake up after what seems like 15minutes in my dream, so I have to work on that a little bit.

What I like about your story, is that you didnt worry about any fancy technique or making sure to stay awake for a certain amount of time and then counting a certain number of breaths. You just woke up, layed back down, and imagined a scene. I need to focus more on the basics of the process instead of all these little details that just get me distracted

      Interesting story otherwise

How long did it take from the time you looked at the clock to the time the WILD started?

Just a couple minutes it seemed like. I usually fall back to sleep pretty quick but I made sure to keep my mind awake and it worked. The worst part was taht sound in my ear, for real it was like a cruise ship horn blowing right in my ear, it was horrible but i stuck with it and kept relaxed. It can be done.

Yeah SP is something uncomfortable and it takes getting used to. I know it's only been like 5 days for me but WILD really seems to be effective with me. I just need stability and i'd be set.

SP is still uncomfortable but tolerable to say the least.

sweet, I'll give this a try tonight. For future reference, how detailed was the scene you imagined? Did you just have a picture in your mind and focused your mind on that? Or did you actually play out a scene imagining ourself in it or something?

The scene I imagined was a beach and i tried to imagine it from a first person point of view. Although when my dream started I woke up in my bed, and its almost as if i just hopped out of myself and went downstairs.

I just tried your method last night, but I wasn't able to keep that one scene in my head for very long. I kept trying to think of more details of the scene, but when I couldn't think of anything I got really tired and fell back to sleep. This was during a WBTB obviously.

Did you have in your head exactly what the scene was going to be and how it plays out well before you went to bed?
I'm going to try it again with a different scene and a pre-constructed story of sorts to try my luck. I just have trouble staying awake enough throughout this whole WBTB process.

I've had 4 WILDS this week, but i have trouble stayin in them for very long.

But the scene i imagine isnt pre thought out at all, just something right then and there that i can use to keep my concious.

I got angry last night cause I had trouble concentrating and lost an hour or so of sleep because I kept being interupted...so ... its like religion it takes personal experience to work and believe
