Hello everyone!

This is my first time coming to this forum. I picked it up while reading howstuffworks.com. I'm 18 right now, but I have been having EXTREMELY vivid dreams my entire life, where I can wake up and recall the entire thing in full detail (like seeing a movie while awake). Also, like a movie, I am able to stop dreams at any time, but I seem to get pleasure from my dreams, even if I am being chased, so I usually dont. It was only a few years ago that I was able to control my dreams, but its usually only after I see some very unnatural surroundings. My first time was when I was riding my bike down my street. It was very realistic (any reality checks would have proven i was "awake") untill everything turned into a balloon like shape with different pastel colors. I hit a rock and started floating into the air, and I realized I was dreaming. As soon as I gained control, my world snapped back to being "real" and I did the first thing that came to mind to do when an 18 year old is in control of his own dream. ... Though that was more of a instinctual thing, I'm going to try harder to explore my powers during a dream. I have already been able to fly and breathe under water at will in some of my dreams (very cool!) and now I look forward to dreaming each night, even though it doesn't happen as often as I would wish. I will also be trying to research more on this site, I'm excited to hear that other people are feeling the way I am ~Firrox
