OMG wow, I just had 2 lucid dreams this morning.. my first in years, after a week of working at it
1st was rather uneventful, I was at a gas station and decided to reality check. Plugged my nose and was able to breath. At that point it was weird like i couldn't open my eyes(I had seen it was a gas station already though, cant explain that), and the world was black and shaking, hard to explain. I woke up.
2nd I can liken to a DEILD I guess, I don't remember becoming lucid... although I quite possibly could have became lucid from being able to breath underwater (somehow, it was underwater but had a regular sky with clouds etc and people were there, but I just knew it was underwater).... seems the nose check is working awesome for me. This dream was long, and I mean long... so long I was seriously getting bored by the end. I think the inexperience was showing. I could not summon objects well, or change the location. I was in an underwater city, that I had once dreamed about before and always wanted to return too. I also could not fly, I attempted this by willing it to happen but it did not work, I also attempted to summon a jet pack, but I only managed to summon a large backpack haha.. I tried it but it did nothing. I was almost embarrassed to try. There were dream characters everywhere, so I attempted this in a more quiet area but still nothing... remember I could not summon people or make them dissapear.
I did look in a mirror, my face was distorted, looked like me, but with a small face and big ears kind of like a little elvaan from a movie or something, it was very distorted.
I also smoked a joint(I think I summoned this) (abra's suggestion) but it did NOT give me a buzz. (who needs a buzz when you can dream!)
What I didn't expect was that I would forget the memories like a regular dream... there are parts that are being vaguely remembered but are not as vivid as they were when it happened. I also feel like I drifted in and out of lucidity... At one point I woke up in my parents house (I don't live there any more) and began telling them about it, and they were like "your still dreaming, your doing it right now" wow lol mindf*ck!
I think all these things could be put up to lack of experience. I almost faded out of lucidity a number of times I think. I may have, I can't tell the memories are very faded now
I tried melatonin for the first time as well.. woke up after about 5 hours of sleep with the wife, she was going out for breakfast but I felt like crap, very groggy... but when I went back to bed this all happened. And now I feel like I've awoken from the greatest sleep I ever had!
Anyhow I would love some feedback on anything here if anyone feels so inclined, thanks for listening to my experience!
