I have been searching around the boards a lot but haven't posted. So the past couple nights I have been trying the technique when you wake up and go back to sleep and think about something familiar to get you to a lucid state, well I had no success. I think part of that had to do with me over thinking it. Well of course the night that I just fall asleep It happened. I was awoken around six in the morning because my window was open and a car had honked, and I shot right up, when I lied back down I just started thinking about my old elementary school (myself and my friend had gone over there a couple days before) and the next thing I realized was I was dreaming.

I was helping out in the summer program and all the kids were out playing tag on the playground. Well I didn't realize that I was dreaming until a woman came up to me and said "All the other children are playing over there(pointing somewhere), don't you kids want to join them?" well I am currently in College, not in the K-5 grades, and realized right away I was in a dream. I look up, and I just fly off the ground, it felt so real it was amazing. I flew around for a long while and ended up flying back home, where I eventually woke up, about 6 Hours later. I don't know if it is normal but I got about 12 hours of sleep last night, where usually I only sleep 7-8.

Has anyone else experienced long hours of sleep during a LD? Or was I just extremely tired?
