Thread: lucid without logic?

sso i am dreaming that i am playing with a close friend.We are throwing a football to each other in a field beside my moms house.i ccould feel everything around me..the wind the sun all the elements..the football was traveling a little slower and a great deal farther then in actuality.but i was so caught up in the warm feeling of everything around me and the fun wwith my friend..We got closer..i then told him that we must not forget this dream we are having when we wake up..i looked at his face...i had to be sure he wasn,t going to forget this adventure we shared..it felt so real .he assured me he wouldn,t forget...some how i felt relieved knowing we both shared the dream....a few days later when i saw my friend i did ask him about the dream..he had absolutely no recollection and ofcourse he started laughing at me

ok...so basically it wasn't a shared dream.

To be honest, I dont see your point either, you dreamed about your friend, I dream about friends all the time.. 99,99999% of times its not a shared dream, telling dream characters their dreaming doesnt work, heh

exactly. I think you'd at least have to have a strong connection with the person...and maybe if the person was a lucid dreamer too...MAYBE..but STILL. without that, the chances are so slim...it's funny.

My point is not the shared dream but where was my logic...if i knew enough to ask him not to forget our dream..i must of had some lucidity but not enough awareness to know it was my own dream?..who really knows..it,s possible my friend had no recall..but i always doubted we shared the dream

Logic and dreaming seem to be often at odds with each other. I don't know how many times I have come up with something in a dream that was going to improve the standard of life for the human race, just to wake up and say Huh? That was really stupid!
