      Angry A fake lucid

Last night after a few hours sleep i was going back to sleep and i was just thinking random thoughts and the next thing it kinda hits me im not thinking any more im actually in my thoughts, so i think i must be lucid.

So i try to move around and stuff but its really unstable and i all my sensations were not working, good clarity but thats it, and my senses are always working in lucids. About 5 seconds later i wake up, so i check the net and i read that sometimes you think your lucid but your actually in hypnagogic imagery so that explains it.

It's frustrating because i was thinking some pretty neat things so then to be in them was pretty good and then to find it was fake was annoying to say the least.

Who's experienced this or something similar?

Me. Just recently. Only instead of thinking I was in a dream and was actually thinking, I thought I was thinking but was actually in a dream. (Quasi-lucid thread at link) (it's not the same thing, but it seems similar.)

So you thought you were thinking but you were actually lucid?

Wow I did that recently except I popped into the whole dream and it was all around me.

I might have! I have never heard of this either, do you have a link for it??
It would explain very brief, hard to control actions in some LDs!!

Ok nope!! Hypnagogic states do not explain the brief LDs i have.
I just went and read about it and i know exactly what this is!
Because it happens to me all the time. It is actually the state
i was in when i first learned to LD. You can push youself out of
the paralysis and right into a LD. I know because its how i started
and what i do if it happens now. I have written it all down in my
dream journal if anyone is intrigued by what ive said.

Well I had no idea before I came here, because everyone has their
own way, but this forum explains there are many ways. I have found
a different way to LD now, but whenever I'm in the paralysis state I
can also get myself into a LD.
Whatever gets you to LD is
      a good thing!
