      Question

I'm new to this whole thing but I see here a chance to talk about all the oddness that is dream. I have had a reaccuring kind of dream in which I see the room I am in fully lit as if I was completely awake. There is always something in my room, frequently it was a giant spider, I saw it in full detail and was afraid that it would bite me. So I always snap awake turn on the light and try to find the spider, only after it happened about 10 times can I quickly reconize that it was a dream. The other night something fell on me from the ceiling.

      Ever heard of this,

      Thanks

Do you mean that you are in your bedroom and think that you are awake, when you are actually dreaming? That's called a false awakening. You should do a reality check every single time you wake up, to catch FAs and turn them into lucids

Thanks for the response. I understand the concept of false awake but I think this is different, I do suppossedly think that I am awake but it only happens when I am being visited by something, its never happened just because, and I always actually wake up immediately afterwards totally freaked out, turn on the lights and search the bedroom for whatever it was suppossed to be. It could be just a varient I suppose.

      Thanks
