      I cant do it!!!

last night i had a lucid dream; i did when i noticed in my dream, i said, "this is a dream" in my head, and from there on, i was able to do as i see fit...so i tried to fly...now you guys should know first that this was my third attempt to fly in a dream, and this time, i didnt wake up, but my attempt was crowned with failure. i jumped to give myself a head start, but i felt as if there was nothing below me, and i just went right back to the ground! any explanations? some help on making this work would be appreciated.

the thing is, i can do other things, like run at super human speeds without getting any fatigue, and do super jumps, but when it comes to flying, no-ho, that doesnt work...

Well its because reality is so burnt into our minds (becuase its reality )
That your mind has a tough time breaking it. Try to picture yourself being lifted off the ground by a very strong wind. Or, try to "pull" yourself toward something very high (ie-moon) that should work
God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...

i have the same problem, cant seem to fly. i can jump quite high but flying is a no-go.
so next time im lucid ima try something: grow wings
itll be a nice,demon-like set of leathery wings. if that fails then fuck it,im gonna call a dragon and ride that instead!

It was hard for me too.

I had to concentrate soooo hard on flying. I tried to jump up like Neo did on the matrix, but that didn't work. Try shooting yourself forward, dive forward.

When I'm thinking about other things, I can't fly. I once dove off a cliff and tried to fly, and all I could think of was falling and hitting the ground; so thats actually what I did. But the funny thing is when I hit the ground, I just kept going.

The only flying dream i remember wasnt lucid...and i was quite young.
I was out in a parking lot and i could fly by making tiny circular movements with my hands and feet.
I could only get 2 feet off the ground, so i flew into the mall and kept hitting clothing racks...but i couldnt go any higher.

I never had a LD, but I rememberd a dream of a few years ago.
To fly, I tried to make swimming movements to the sky.
First it seems impossible, and it's hard.
      But try it!

I hope I will learn LDing fast

you can do almost anything in you LDs if you have the concentration and imagination, but you have to know in your subconsious and consious mind what it would be like... you cant know what something feels like if you have never experienced it. Obviously most impossible things you have tried in your dreams have worked, but those things you have some idea how they would come about, or what they would look/feel like ect... but flying in mid air with no aid of anything else is something your mind has no knowledge about (or hardly any), so the nearest thing to actually doing it would be to think in depth about it, or go swimming (which is a similar concept to flying)! the swimming idea is a really good one because it's the nearest thing you have experienced to flying. sorry i rambled!!!!!!
