I never hear about immortality as a power in dreams, and I find it a little surprising, being that people often wake up when they "die". I had a dream perhaps a year ago in regards to this subject, but never thought much of it until I realized that maybe surviving death in a dream wasn't as common as I thought it was.

I was in a large, clean public bathroom, washing my hands in a sink when all of a sudden I hear a gunshot and feel a significant amount of pressure in my back. I just got shot. I turned around to look at the man, a little shorter than I was, with short brown hair, when he shot me again, this time putting the shell right into my heart. I look down, touch my chest and bring my hand up to my eyes to find my fingers stained red. A little puddle is forming at my feet. Right now, I am feeling much the same I imagine some sort of god would feel. I felt as powerful as ever, just physically hollow. I strolled right over to where my assailant was standing and landed a punch so hard in his face that I could hear the bone cracking as his skull split beneath the skin. I was indeed immortal.

I believe that dream occurred a few days after reading about the subject of immortality in dreams, and that the feeling of it is a little overwhelming (in a positive way, of course). Well, I can confirm that, and wanted to open this thread up to encourage others to share their experiences with thwarting death in the dreamworld.
