I don't so much fly as I rocket.

When I attempt to fly, I hover for a brief second and then shoot upwards as if all gravity is taken away. It's fun and all, but I would rather be able to fly.

Anyone else have a similar experience while attempting to fly?

For a long time I had a lot of frusteration when it came to trying to fly. I had to swim, mime climbing a rope or ladder, couldn't control direction or speed, and so on. Gah. Very frusterating!!

Give it some time. Try to expect something different from what you are used to next time you fly. Expectations play a huge role in dreams.

I have never astroprojected but in cases when I lucid dream I ind it quite easy to zip around without rocketing off or having to mimic anything, i'm not sure how astroprojecting works but if its anything like lucid dreaming orce yourself into believeing you're flying

What do you do, exactly, when you try to fly? Perhaps changing your approach could produce different results.

I had the same problem. I would shoot up so fast the sensation would wake me up usually. I learned to control it by practicing jumping, like onto the roof of a house, or into a tree. Having a specific limit that you want to fly up to helps you figure out how to control your altitude, plus if you reach what your jumping to you can grab onto it to keep yourself from continuing to float.

i have the same problem. when i start flying, I start off floating then i go way too high. I can control direction, not so much speed. the hard part is getting down. i usually have to grab onto something and climb down.

Hell yeah man, the first time I flew I shot up into the sky like a RPG or something; it was fun but it ended up waking me up b/c I couldnt control it and I didnt want to go into space. I think it had something to do w/ my take off though, I ran down the street and then took off of one foot. But I want to try it Neo-style next time.
