The fourth night of my quest for the LD, I did the same thing as all of the prior nights. I repeated to myself as I dozed off to sleep, "I will have a lucid dream and I will remember it". When I was too sleepy to continue reciting that, I unwillingly recited the lyrics from a Shins song, "Blast Valve". Then, 2 hours after falling asleep, the fun began...

The first half of my dream was like every other, I was passive and not aware, not 'concious' in the dream sense. It was only when I re-entered a hallway I had been in earlier in the dream that things started to change. I remembered being chased by a creature down the hallway, and I thought it was going to happen again. There were windows along the hallway, and nearest me, I could see a Chinese girl leaning against the window, concentrating on a book. The detail was astounding, Everything was so vivid, the colors, the detail of her clothing, the hallway lighting. Things started to differ from a normal dream when the thought occurred that I could say anything I wanted to the student. I turned and saw an analog clock on the doorway behind me, the first thought that came to mind was, "Am I dreaming", (The clock was one of my reality checks). It was sooo amazing, the rush of conciousness flowing over me, the sensation of being aware and in control in a dream. I tried as hard as I could to keep calm, so I could stay in control, it felt so neat, but something went awry. I looked at the clock and realized it wasnt moving. I checked my wrist watch but it wasn't there, so I decided to conjure up a watch to check the time. What happened, to my amazement, was that my wrist BECAME a watch... where the hands and numbers would be, there was a deep imprint in my hand, and the clock hands were moving. my SKIN was warping itself into a watch. This was too much for my subconcious to handle, it seems, because I woke up after only 3 hours of sleep and was unable to get back to bed. It was quite a pleasingly traumatic experience I hope to have again soon.

So, does this sound typical of a lucid dream? It only lasted about 40 seconds, but everything that went on was under my control and supervision, my waking self was concious in the dreamworld. If this is a lucid dream, any suggestions on how to prolong it? To not shock myself into waking up again? I must say, witnessing my skin shift into a wrist watch at my command was not exactly an easy thing to observe. It was pretttttty freaky! hahaha. Any help, advice, or guidance into the next level of Lucid dreaming would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers!
