its whatever i want it to be, i can create and change it at will with only a thought. i mastered lucid dreaming when i was like 5 or 6, my problem is its so effortless for me it is kinda boring for me so i don't use it.

The most I ever got with HI was green blobs that kinda swirled around like a lava lamp.

Hahaha, a thread I started wayyyyy back when I joined (all of five months ago) about the same topic is here http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=56984

Basically, my HI looks like Full pictures, not usually "video" but more still images, and very very defined. I never see abstract HI.

My HI is simply a detailed 3-dimensional rendering of any image/scene I put in my mind. It differs from normal visualization in that the rendering is effortless and much more detailed, but it isn't a dream in that I am not "in" the scene.

My HI are usually faces that slide by my vision, or just blobs of color that flash in and out.

My HI is really cool. It's anything from extremely scary looking faces to amazing architecture that suddenly manifests in front of my eyes. From the stuff my HI has shown me, I just wish I was that spontaneously creative in real life.

You can be; you just block out all creative impulses. That's what years of schooling trains us all to do. But artists do it all the time (perhaps with some assistance from LSD), and it can be learned.

If you want to see what I'm trying to describe, here's a crude MS-Paint representation of my HI. Keep in mind all the green blobs kinda swirl around.

Umm, if you're talking about those really bright green blobs, those aren't HI. That has to do with your retina freaking out and it happens even when you're awake.

It only happens to me when I'm "sleeping". Beside other hallucinations.

They're called phosphenes, or at least it's a particular variety of phosphene. Phosphenes can be caused by many different things. The easiest way to experience a phosphene first hand is to take your finger and push on the outside side of one of your eyeballs (like at the outside corner where the top and bottom eyelids meet) and push it towards your nose. On the nose side of that eye, you will see a black semicircle with a white or gold edge.

The example of bright green blobs happens (to me at least) when you go from being in a very brightly lit room to there being no light at all. It's quite rare, but that's the trigger.

Ooooooh! That stuff? Yea I've noticed the black dot before while rubbing my eyes, why does the circle get smaller as you move in? The fact that you can see it even with your eyes shut weirds me out haha. I'm pretty sure that I've noticed the light-to-dark version before. Mine is more blue, and not very intense at all (I just tried staring through my window with wide eyes and then covering up). What I definitely get is the seeing-stars phosphene, my blood pressure is low as shit and whenever I stand up fast I basically topple right back over when everything goes black and white haha

Man, how do you know all this stuff??? I'm reading about it now but... how do you even hear about it in the first place? lol

I was on wikipedia reading some article about eyes, and I ended up on the phosphene page. I read wikipedia for fun sometimes.

Hmm, I do the same pretty often (not so often now that I'm back in school though). Still, I only seem to come across boring things. I always try to take classes where I will learn about things like this, interesting things but... they always seem to fall short I guess you've just gotta keep reading on your own! At least wiki links you to related topics, that is such a cool feature

I guess I don't have any true HI. My WILDs are highly unstable, so maybe my actual "WILDs" are only a very strong case of HI but I doubt it. Usually I hear, see, and feel nothing until my wall forms in front of me and I'm in a dream.

When I'm falling asleep unconsciously I get something where I know I'm in bed, yet I'm in a different place at the same time... then I blip out of consciousness and try to move in this new place, and end up moving my real life body and becoming conscious once more. That may also be a form of HI.
