      What happened?

I was lying in bed with my eyes closed, thinking about lucid dreaming and slowly drifting into sleep, but I didn't realise it. Like, I was pretty much halfway between being awake and being asleep. All of a sudden my leg twitches very violently and I sit up. I do a reality check but I am awake. Was it just some random muscle spasm, or what?

You were probably starting to initiate a WILD accidentally. I've experienced the same thing, (the twitch,) when sleep paralysis starts to come on. I can't explain why, but I'm geussing teh chemical makes a spasm before paralyzing it. Try not to move this time and you may get into a WILD! (I've never actually been able to WILD. I've initiated some SP before atempting it, though.)

Competely natural man. Nearly everyone does it either while entering the dream state or while dreaming. You can watch a dog twitching while sleeping if you don't belive me. Nothing to worry about, it just means that your in a completely relaxed state.
