Thread: dream guides

i notice a few referencias to dg's on these postings (i assume that stands for guides)...

Is there any tutorial or faq material available about them? Or other sites with info?

I don't think we have a tutorial, but there is knowledge scattered throughtout the forum. Have you tried a search?

Please research and write it well. Having a Dream Guide is a very personal thing, and there are entities out there that could prey on the weak.

All I'm saying is be careful, do not just throw something together.

if i search for dg i get 8 posts with some info. searching for guide throws up too much stuff.

i'd be interested to know if it is a common aspect of LDs or not... i meet one on my 1st strong LD & he was very impressive.

I've never even gone looking for my Dream Guide, if one exists.

Several people around here have dream guides and regularly interact with them.

Maybe one of them will find this topic and respond?

well, i thought i had found mine, but then a girl in my dream told me not to believe that

so im pretty confused

I'll have a shot at doing some research.

What exactly would I write if I were to do a tutorial on it?

Aphius, I think I'd start with Spirit Guides or familiars as a starting place. Find some background on them from Wicca or Shamanism.

Maybe also tie in some subcouncious stuff. You know hit it from both sides, maybe your dream guide is your subconcious, maybe it is a spirit or being helping you.

This would be a nice intro, then you would need to research techniques for finding your DG, how to know for sure it is your DG, how to avoid false DGs.

You could write hundreds of pages on the subject.

i'm curious about all these mentions about true & flase DGs.
Isn't it enough if you find someone in your dream who can teach you something? If you find out something valuable from someone in your dream haven't they been a guide to you?

What would a "false" guide do? why would one need to be careful?

A false one would just try to imitate your real DG. They are usually nice. There is no reason to be careful. They aren't dangerous, just tricky.

Anyway Aphius, if you want you can use my experiences with my dream guides in your tutorial if you are to make one. I've summoned them 4 times so if you want a description of my experiences then just ask. Ill rummage through the forum and find them. Also I was informed of a way to test if the person you summoned was your dream guide or not. If you are interested in that to, then ask again. If you are interested then would you like the information in PM form or just here?

I'm usualy the guide in my dreams, for the nonexistant characters... (that's why they call me Mama Bear, but I'm not a girl!)

I would not search for a dream guide for fair warning. You could end up following just mindless fancies or something worse. I'm pretty concerned that it could open doors that would mess a dreamer up.

But it seems that once someone finds their dream guide, they will know. There must be a proper place or time for it, and when it's there, you'll know. Once the connection is made, then you can find it so much more often.

ok, i will. just not now. Im at my cousins house and his computer is SLOW. im having trouble just tying to catch up to all the posts

Yeah, i've had dream guides. Mine usually takes the form of a person i know, but can't place the face, i know their name only in the dream but forget it afterward. I find them to actually be annoying, because sometime i believe they are trying to control my dreams, like if they say i can't fly, then no matter how hard i try, i will not fly. They come and go, many times my dreams will have different levels and i will see a dream guide who introduced himself in another level reappear.

Its a rare occourance nowadays, but i've always been interested in just why exactly do they appear. I tend to think, they are who i want to be. And because of it, they have their own personalities and attitiudes towards you.

A mystery, I am trying to meet up with more..

ok here it is.. btw, its long

Now I've conjured up my dream guide 4 times and each time it was somebody different. the first time it was a beautiful egyptian women(she was very elegant, like a queen), the second time it was another women but wore weird clothes(sorta like the future, and she was very cheerful and a wonderful singer), the third time it was some alien version of a women(she by no means looked human, her nose was abnormal, she had extreme case of rosacia, odd eyes and she scared/shocked me, but she changed her appearance a little to viewer friendly), and then the fourth time it was some guy(i cant remember what he looked like) but this guy reminded me of martin lawrence A LOT

Alright the first time i met her, i was in a room/house that had no one living inside. I went into one of the empty rooms and faced towards the door. I raised my hands and said "I want to meet my dream guide" or something like that. Few seconds pass and then i see a shadowy figure coming towards the door. Immediately i am scared and frightented to death because my fears of thinking that it was an alien instead started to take over(i am REALLY scared of aliens). But once the egpytian women came in, i was relieved and excited to meet her. I asked her one personal question. It was not the answer I was really looking for, but it was an impressive answer. Its like one of those answers that doesn't answer your question directly, but indirectly and doesnt really make sense. It was an answer that had to be thought over about. I asked her name, but the dream faded before she could answer

The second time I was in some house again that had a staircase. I summoned my DG and i heard footsteps climbing the stairs. I knew it was her and i waited for her to climb all the way up. I think she had a mask on to but not really sure.anyway she was dressed in a dress. just like a stereotypical princess and she had this goody voice which was sweet. immediately i asked for her name and i think it was "Ardiology" or "ardiologious" something like that. it sounded similar to archeology which she used to help me pronounce the word. Anyway i asked her a question i think about working together or she said something about something, but i cant remember. I also asked her if that was really her, my dream guide, when i met her in the first dream. i cant remember any of her answers though. after that she started to sing and then i felt like singing began to sing with her and my voice was pretty good(i dont sing, i suck at it in reality, but for some reason she made me feel like i wanted to sing). I dont remember what then, but for some reason i went into house(i guess my dream guide left)

The third and fourth time are in the same dream(im a little confused as to what really happened in this one though) Anyway, for some odd reason people were panicking away from me when i became lucid and then i called my DG to come forth, She surprised me when i turned around and she was already there, but as i said above, she was not human, and very ugly. She saw my reaction and tried to make her viewer friendly. After that i was blinded by some heavenly light that was created by her(she doesnt even say anything to me nor do i since i didnt have time at all. The next thing i know, im talking to the 4th DG in the heaven place and he is a very funny character and comical. I like him and he makes me laugh. What struck me though was what he said when i asked him something. I asked him if he could help me become more lucid, helping me think its a dream and pointing out dream signs. he said "No." and i was shocked. I ask him why but he wouldn't say. he kept stalling saying "well you see...because...um...err..i cant because..." etc. Anyway after that he showed me around like said above. I'd also like to note that this DG was different from the others. As you can see he's the only guy of the group, and he was not honest. For example we were at the "heaven" bar and it looks like he stole a couple of jugs of water from the bartender and started drinking it and he was doing something with cards, whcih might suggest gambling. It wsa very odd. Also later on in the dream, i announce that i've been here before but i cant remember where, dreamwise or in reality(i cant remember which one), and the DG said he has to, we then high 5 eachother. After that i saw that the dream was coming to an end and that some kind of force was pulling us two apart from one another. Like I was stuck in some crowd that was going one way the the DG was going the other. Anyway I yelled out "what is your name" and he said his name was Triad. I then laughed some more and told him that he's not martin lawrence(who he reminded me of) in a comical way. We all laughed. I had a fairly good time in that dream =D. Guess he did show me a good time though.
