      One of my Lucid Experiences

I've had a few lucid dreams. No where as often as I would like. My main issue though is losing focus. Sometimes I will get caught in my own world and my attention will shift onto something else and will soon notice again I am stuck stepping through a world I am no longer fully in control of.

One example of this was a dream I had of my old house that I lived in most of my life childhood. I lived up in the mountains and had a house with a deck overlooking a large wooded valley. Great view.

Well I was dreaming about being there again and while walking around the place I was suddenly aware I was dreaming. It just came to me. The first thought in my mind was to try to fly and I soon found that I could literally jump off the ground and just not land. At first, it started with smaller long jumps where I would force myself to actually jump higher, in my mind. Then it got to the point where I didn't need to land again and I could force my speed by, I can't put it any better, pushing against my reality. Harder the push, the faster I went. Of course, the best way to take off after landing was still jumping into the air instead of just lifting off.

I was flying all around the valley by my house. I knew it was a dream so I was enjoying the views. Soaring high into the air, flying low to the ground. It was a crazy experience and so so vivid, I miss the feeling even now while typing this, even with this dream being a few months ago.

The problem though is I started losing my ability to fly more and more. Slowly, I was forced to land more often and every time I took to flying again, I could feel the pull of gravity on my body increase ever bit more.

Soon I couldn't even take off at all and was forced to only jump high in the air. I seemed to be losing focus on control of the world around me and upset, I realized that even though I was in a dream, I was losing control.

I tried to focus harder but failed as a friend of mine showed up in my dream and started talking to me. I tried to ignore them and force things to happen under my control but I failed. It was like my mind was forcing me to stay confined to a situation out of my control. Eventually, the topic at hand in my dream took over my attention and I lost my lucidness.

I started dreaming regularly again soon and woke up in the morning sad that I had to go about the day and not continue dreaming.

Anyone else lose control like this? Advice? I've had other experiences where I eventually am sidetracked and lose lucidity again, seems to happen on occasion if I don't wake up during the end of a lucid dream.

A similar situation happened to me not too long ago. I was in a lucid dream and two DCs approached me and started talking. Eventually i lost lucidity and went into a normal dream.

For advice try the spinning technique, spin in your dream and it will change the dream scape or increase clarity

Rub your hands together in the dream

I know this sounds lame but with your dream voice yell "Increase Clarity!" or something along those lines.

      I hope i can help

`Take some more tea,' the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.

`I've had nothing yet,' Alice replied in an offended tone, `so I can't take more.'

`You mean you can't take LESS,' said the Hatter: `it's very easy to take MORE than nothing.'
