      Getting tricked out of Lucidity, I think its all Grumble Gru

      Any of you guys get tricked out of Lucidity


      This happens to me alot.

      Ill give two different examples.

      1: I'm at school and some 1 hands me a copy of Stephen Labergs book. I look twice and the words are scrambbled. I ask am i dreaming, and bam, all of a sudden my mind goes blank and i can't rember what i was thinkin.

      2: I do a reaility test and some how my dream world manupliates the things around me to get me back to unluicity (including dream ppl). I look at the clock and look back, all of a sudden there r 2 clocks now, "i'm sure 1 of the are Right"


      Oh yeh you guys, from now on, if any thing bad happens to me im blame it on Grumble Grumble
      "I thought what I'd do was pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes..."

      well the dream characters in my dream keep telling me im not dreaming. they never seem to agree that they're just a figment of my imagination. those stubborn idiots. im gonna slap one in my next ld...

      i think i did believe them once. i dont know how but i sorta fell back into my dream and became "unlucid"

      you have hit on my main preoccupation with LDs. I am maddenned by the # of dreamsigns that i am now convinced my mind is intentionally giving me to help get lucid, but 9 times out of 10 i blunder on and rationalize it all somehow. Lately i have theorized i can get lucid easier in the presence of dream strangers than dream characters i know, because the presence of people you know tricks you into feeling its all real. "HEy this has to be real, these are real people that i know"

      just ignore those idiots cookie, what do they know...

      This has ben a MAJOR annoyance of mine lately. After every dream, I will wakeup and begin to analyze it, looking for inconsistancies that should have triggered lucidity.

      Like last night, I was digging a root cellar to hold of all things, canned green beans. I was digging it with a shovel that only had half of the scoop present, and I lined it with CD cases!

      My god! What does it take to make me realize it is a dream!
