swiming in my bed! WTF happend?

I think this was a WILD, but the only WILDs I had were intended.. I had just went back to sleep, then I realized I couldent move, and that my whole body (not partly like usually just my arm) but my whole body was sinking in my bed! LOL I kinda got exited and I said "woooo-weeee swimming in my bed! swimming my bed! swimming in my bed! " then I seen the grim reapers face (Stupid lucid nightmares) and it said in a dark satanic voice (as in all my dreams) it said "Welcome Michael" as if it knew I knew I was dreaming.. I read some wear that I should just ignore them and thay would go away.. so I tried to open my real life eyes a little to see.. and I went right back into swimming in my bed..

      so my question is
was this some weird WILD? if so what happened?

I guess it depends how long had you been awake before you went back to sleep?

Yeah shift talked to me about the twin bodies technique! I am quite sure this is what happend..
oops I I meant to say, I woke up into this felling! like I regained contiousness or something.. I thought I was dreaming at the time, but I did not see any visuals... after I tried to picture something I Pictured the grim reapers face... thats when it said "Welcome Michael" I kinda laughed at first, but then it started getting weird.... sooooo yeah from that guide on the twin bodies you gave me last night, I actually was dreaming... it said as soon as you exit your real body you are dreaming.

Well you said that you woke up, were paralyzed, felt buzzing, and then saw the Grim Reaper. That just sounds like isolated sleep paralysis accompanied by hypnopompic hallucinations. If you WILD from that state to the point where you are in a dream that is exactly the same as how you just went to bed, and you get out of bed in your dream body, that is supposed to be the Twin Bodies Technique. Of course, as I said, you were the one who experienced it so you have to be the one who makes the decision of what it actually was haha

yeah I know what you mean shift.. just theres alot of techniques and such.. I thought I was dreaming when it happend because I seen (Barley seen, it was just HH swrilies but in the shape of a grim reaper face.. when I Heard "Welcome Michael" its mouth dint move or anything. Yep I just read the DEILD tut, and I am sure it was a DEILD.. just I was confuesd because my mind is set on WILDs lol.. and I dint really look into DEILD that much.. so uhh if I keep going instead of getting scared of the voice, I probbly would have WILDed eventually but it started as a WILD... also I hear of people thinking thay are getting abducted by aliens.. this is because of a DEILD right? if so than thats what I had..
Wehn I "woke" up. I thought I was laying face down, but I was laying on my back in real life.. then I felt like I was sinking, so I just started to swim lol.. but everything was black... is it possible I could have been dreaming, but dreaming out of a REM state? like I was dreaming in NREM?

DEILD and WILD are essentially the same thing. A DEILD is just a WILD with very specific timing- you just woke up from a dream (Dream-Exit), and you WILD back into dreaming.

It is VERY possible to dream during the NREM stages of sleep. It is also possible that you woke up and then went right back into REM. None one will ever know, since we weren't monitoring you physiologically when this happened.

The alien abduction stories (a variation of the Old Hag experience and other PRES) are hypothesized to be experiences of sleep paralysis and HH or just simply HH on it's own, terrifying the shit out of people who have no idea that it's possible and commonly assuming it must be some sort of evil, demonic, or extra-terrestrial force since they do not understand much of the science and experiences of sleep. You have to remember that for the general population, who do not have sleep paralysis as a disease and who do not waste all of this time attempting to keep their conscious self awake while the body falls asleep, sleep paralysis is not experienced all that frequently. And for the most part, people don't tend to notice HH or realize how frequently they occur. Most people don't even have good dream recall. They just want to go to sleep, wake up, and feel rested when they get up.

A dream can't really start as a WILD, unless you consciously enter a dream and then eventually lose lucidity. You pretty much either WILD or you don't...

ok! but unless you consciously enter a dream and then eventually lose lucidity I do this all the time when i WILD.. in the morning I wake up and I try to WILD.. but I Geuss this would be somewhat considered a slopy DEILD.. but why would you lose lucidity?

and I am possitive that what I did was a DEILD. so yeah..

You WILD and then lose lucidity but continue the dream as a regular dream frequently? or am I misunderstanding? Either way, it's still a WILD

You can lose lucidity for all sorts of reasons. It just happens sometimes. Usually you get distracted or stressed because of something.

I guess the time of the WILD attempt, yea, has some haziness to it. Generally a DEILD is immediately after awakening from a dream- you try not to move at all, and you focus on just getting back into a dream. During a WBTB you should flood your mind with thoughts of LDing to help with DILDs, and when you do go back to bed you can try to WILD. Lots of people do this, or set alarms to wake themselves up for their approximate calculated REM period.

alrighty! I think I get it pretty well know! Usually when I WILD, I succeed by telling myself really not to move.. sometimes it takes two hours.. but you just gota want it so bad..
but I never lost lucidity.. But have only been Lucid from a WILD I think 6 times *looks at sig* I use to WILD all the tim before I knew anything about Lucid dreaming, because it made me fell weird lol.. (the twin bodys part)

I would bet you were probably too awake to get out of bed, but still dreaming. That's why your real eyes kept opening.
