Yep I just read the DEILD tut, and I am sure it was a DEILD.. just I was confuesd because my mind is set on WILDs lol.. and I dint really look into DEILD that much.. so uhh if I keep going instead of getting scared of the voice, I probbly would have WILDed eventually but it started as a WILD... also I hear of people thinking thay are getting abducted by aliens.. this is because of a DEILD right? if so than thats what I had..
Wehn I "woke" up. I thought I was laying face down, but I was laying on my back in real life.. then I felt like I was sinking, so I just started to swim lol.. but everything was black... is it possible I could have been dreaming, but dreaming out of a REM state? like I was dreaming in NREM?
DEILD and WILD are essentially the same thing. A DEILD is just a WILD with very specific timing- you just woke up from a dream (Dream-Exit), and you WILD back into dreaming.
It is VERY possible to dream during the NREM stages of sleep. It is also possible that you woke up and then went right back into REM. None one will ever know, since we weren't monitoring you physiologically when this happened.
The alien abduction stories (a variation of the Old Hag experience and other PRES) are hypothesized to be experiences of sleep paralysis and HH or just simply HH on it's own, terrifying the shit out of people who have no idea that it's possible and commonly assuming it must be some sort of evil, demonic, or extra-terrestrial force since they do not understand much of the science and experiences of sleep. You have to remember that for the general population, who do not have sleep paralysis as a disease and who do not waste all of this time attempting to keep their conscious self awake while the body falls asleep, sleep paralysis is not experienced all that frequently. And for the most part, people don't tend to notice HH or realize how frequently they occur. Most people don't even have good dream recall. They just want to go to sleep, wake up, and feel rested when they get up.
A dream can't really start as a WILD, unless you consciously enter a dream and then eventually lose lucidity. You pretty much either WILD or you don't...
