Internet Explorer the key to lucid dreaming? =P

I had quite an interesting experience last night. Total lucidity in all dreams between 4:00 and 8:00a.m. This is a record for me. 5 LDs!

The reason for this? A secret option in Microsoft Internet explorer. Here goes:

I awoke at 4:00 for a brief visit to the bathroom. Upon returning to bed, I immediately fell asleep and soon found myself running. It was joyous, I remember not having to expend much effort and my stride was about 10 feet long.

*Lighbulb comes on* Ah ha! Lucid dream.

This was an especially vivid dream. I flew a little, but spent most of my time just walking around looking at things, interacting with DCs.

At one point I found myself in front of a computer.
I sat down and opened internet explorer and selected Tools->Internet Options->Advanced. Way down near the bottom of the options were two radio buttons.
      (*) Normal dream mode
      ( ) Lucid dream mode

"Ah ha! That's it" I yelled. My explorer was set to normal dream mode.
I quickly selected Lucid dream mode and shut down the explorer. My dream faded and I awoke, but..

Every REM cycle from then until I got up this morning was lucid.

      Coincidence?

Probably, but this was just so wacked I thought I would share it with all of you.

      5 LD's, that's heaps!

When you were lucid and sat down in front of the computer, what do you mean by you saw two radio buttons, what was radio about them?

Other than that, i think it may be a bit of both, coincidence and part of selecting lucid dream mode

Radio buttons are the ones that have little dots in them used for selecting things from a list.

      Also, use firefox/mozilla.

Yes, I'm sure you cold find those options in Firefox, though you might have to use /about config
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Man, this is wierd I was going to reply to this saying I had an ld last night and it started with Mozilla Firefox ( thats what I have) but as I hit the reply button, I realised that I had clicked on an internet explorer button in my dream. I checked my email, and there was a survey that I decided to fill out( my sister sent it to me). I remember a lot of questions, but one of the last ones was "Are you dreaming?" and I laughed and flipped my lightswitch but it didnt work and *ping* I was in! Hurray for the internet!

wow that is so cool, your dream computer was basically telling you that you are dreaming and that you can become aware of it. maybe there can be a popup setup you can do everytime you log on your computer, hmm, or make it a background, aha... that would be a good RC.

I've used a computer in a lucid dream before. I didn't do much clicking but I started a web browser and typed in a url. The only thing that changed was the clock that is in the taskbar in the lower right was in the lower left, where the start button would be and the time kept changing. In my last LD (last night actually, yay) I was looking at something written on a piece of paper tacked on the wall (bulletin board/notice style) and that text didn't change either, so I was forced to ask the person that was there with me "Is is possible that this is a dream?" to which she replied "Not unless it's next week.". Don't ask what sense that quote makes because I don't have the answer.

I've been pondering that same thing all day today. Most of the time, numbers and words jumble up when I look away and then back to them. Guess I didn't look away?

Firefox, bah! I'll stick to my IE

Maybe you just programmed your sub-c to let you be lucid an infinite number of times, wouldnt it be great if it was THAT easy.

I've always thought that it would be cool when in an LD to visit like "The Body Control Center" or something, y'know and see if you can change your body's "settings" to get yourself lucid all the time or make it so you are really mellow and stuff.

Okay, from what I understand, Firefox is another internet browser. It's free, don't ask me how.
I'd like to state that I was converted ( to Firefox ) about 12 hours ago!

I tried FireFox once, but it made no difference. What's the big deal, really?! It's like preaching the wonders of changing your car muffler to make it go faster
In this crazy world if they don't consider you mad, then you have no confirmation of your own sanity, do you?

Thats crazy shit. Maybe I'll have to get that to work in one of my dreams. By the way, I'm back after 7 months of training in the military! I don't know if any of you remember me... So its good to be able to post again. Hopefully I can get some dreams going, since in the military we have such random sleep patterns its hard to dream at all. But the internet explorer thing, thats creative, never woulda thought of it myself. 8)
      Where am I again?

You probably just knew what they meant even though they where jumbled up usually I find its only when you try to study text it does weird stuff. For instance I’m sure in IE you know what menu things are in what place and so don’t really 'look' at them when you use it.
