      W00t a lucid Dream!!

I'm so happy I just had my first lucid dream even if it was only 5 seconds long!! It started with me and a bunch of my friends playing Halo 2 ( I haven't actually played it yet ) in a house that looked alot like my cousin's house but they wern't in the dream. after awhile of playing this my grandfather apperred and I decided to get doghnuts with him. So we when to a mall that was like 35 stories tall and I rode an incredably big elevator to the bottom floor. The doughnut shop was called jitters for some reason. now this was the point I became lucid! I looked down to see my self in my white quicksilver boxers and was about to pass it of as normal when i realized I don't own that pair any more. Snap lucidity!!!!!!!!!! I looked up and the dream was begining to fade so i shouter incresse lucidity now! but all that came out was a mumble. I shouted it again but my voice cut out at the U of lucid and I woke up.

The exctatic feeling from when i woke up continued all the way till now 7 hours after the dream.

Sweet, dude! You're on your way to becomning a regular lucid dreamer now. The first one usually goes something like that, since its hard to keep control of things when you get so excited. With a bit of practice, though, it'll come. 8)

I think I've heard of a coffee shop called Jitters...
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

      ohh cool lool

my first lucid dreams were like that..but then i started to contro lthem more

heres a tip next time say when you lucid dream you wont get all excited and jump around ''coz that actually wakes u up and ends the dream'' try to stay calm look at you feets or the ground that will help make the dream more clearand stabalize it..lol then after ur sure its not fading plan what ur going to do next weather it takeing out a uzi and shooting everyone

or stabbing your annoying father vicouslly ooops got caried away..lol but you get my drift

oh and heres a thing i noticed that when u first start with lucid dreams u wont have much control over it..u wont even have control over where u look or go..its kinda like ur thinking of doing something or u body is doing it alone..dont worry after u get experienced u will have much more great control over ur body same as ur awake..just keep in mind to control ur self and look at ur hands or ur legs to stabalize the dream or focus on something make that a habbit and ull have control in no time

      good luck

Woot!!! Congrats on the 1st lucid dream. I think I know what you mean about the feeling you had after. I remember when I had a vivid lucid dream I was psyched about it all day!!!

Can't wait to hear about your next one! I am sure it will be bigger and better!!!!

After my first one, it was about three weeks before a second. It was clearer and calmer, but not really any longer. Upon realizing that I couldn't think of anything to do, I got distracted and lost lucidity. I suppose its better than waking up.

Anyway, I think the best thing to do is to stay calm and stay focused until the dream is stable. But thats easier said then done when the reasoning part of the brain ceases to function.

Actually, after first LD it gets a lot easier, you know. I had this strange thing after my first lucid, i had it a saturday's night, and oddly enough, my second LD was an exact week later, on saturday night also. Guess what, my third LD was also the next saturday. That happened like a month or so. Of course, i realized it was odd the second saturday LD, so i said "maybe next week i'll LD too!" and it was like programming myself. So, my point is, focus on a special thing about the day before ur LD, and really believe that you will LD each time that special thing (if its a very common occurance it may not work) happens again, it works almost like a charm for the first LD. Of course, as time goes by, realizing its a dream will become easier and u wont have the need to program yourself! (that special thing may be ur underwear, the shape of ur breakfast eggs in the morning, seeing someone u seldom see, etc)

      hope this helps

oh, and congrats in your first LD, and i wish you better control next time

I wish I could program myself to have LD's!!!!!!

I would have to say that it is different for every person on how easy the second LD is, of course . Try to think of what you did differently (if anything) the night you had the LD. Try to repeat exactly what you did. Some methods may work once and not work again. In a perfect world we would all be able to LD when we want.... OH the perfect world! *sigh*

So what techniques are you using if I may ask? I am always curious to know what everyone is doing and what is successful for them...

      Sweet Dreams!!!

4 of my LD's occurred when i went to bed late, like 3 am, or something like that... kinda weird..
hope you'll have more soon, reading and talking about it can be an effective way to trigger LD's, so read alot of Lucid Experiences before you go to sleep

      btw, JITTERS:

      Why?

I've always wondered why you get that super-good feeling after LDing... but congrats anyways! I haven't even played Halo 2 in a dream, let alone in real life . Hope you have another soon!

      Halo 2

Halo 2 was good in both the dreaem and RL but in RL the ending sucked
