Thread: Weird experience

Last night I had an extremely vivid non-lucid dream. In my dream I was

talking to a guy named Jeff and just as he was about to tell me something

important when I heard a loud crack/pop sound and then became lucid. The dream

scape then disappeared and a very loud ringing/static sound started. All sorts

of scary faces started to appear. I then yelled this is just a dream and

everything disappeared. I fell back asleep after that I guess. I've had an

experience similar to this with the whole cracking sound and static the very

first time I had SP. Anyone know why this would just randomly happen

mid-dream like this?

from my own experience,having had lucid dreams AND sleep paralysis..it sounds like you started to wake up in a dream and were experiencing the frightening effects of becoming conscious in sleep state.If you had become fully conscious in a dream you may have gone on to have the dreaded sleep paralysis.It includes strange loud sounds and visuals,especially light..????
