It's been a long time since I last posted here. It's probably because I was much more focused on exams than on lucid dreaming. But now that I'm finally able to practice my lucid dreaming skills more, I'll make sure I put my time in good use. My post is huge, I know, but trust me, it's quite interesting. So if you could, please read it and try to answer my questions. ^ ^ So, first off, I'm what you'd call a "natural". I didn't know about "lucid" dreams for most of my life, yet I still had them. I didn't need to constantly do reality checks in my dreams, but half of the time I was aware that I was just dreaming. So, earlier today, I think I might have enterned a lucid dream which I actually remember, after a long long time. I'm stress free now, so I guess it's easier to remember. Well, point is, it was so weird, I'm not even sure if it was a lucid dream or not. I wanted to take an afternoon nap, and I simply lied on my bed and closed my eyes. I was feeling really sleepy, yet I couldn't seem to be able to make myself sleep. So, I decided to make a random story up and think of it as a tiny movie in my mind to keep me entertained, while trying to fall asleep. I hope you get what I mean. I sometimes like to do that, to fall asleep, just like other people tend count sheep. x_x D: So, the story I made up was about this girl who lived in a large, mansion-like house with her mother, and at the moment she was taking a walk outside, in a forest near her house. I made her wear a purple scarf, purple gloves, and purple shoes. I made her hair red and curly, and she was short for her age. So, it was autumn, and she was walking around the forest, looking for someone. Suddenly, she spotted a blue, very pretty butterfly. Seduced by her beauty, she followed the butterfly, which leaded her to a group of other, similar butterflies, that seemed to be covering someone. The girl moved closer to them, and suddenly, they flew off of what they were hiding, only to make a young man appear. The girl was startled, of course, and turned to run, since the young man had appeared out of nowhere. I made him wear a hat as well, a slightly torn white shirt, and generally, he seemed to had been dragged out of a different era. Suddenly, without realizing how and why I did that, I found myself in the story, too. I never put myself in my stories, so that seemed extremely weird in the first place. I remember stepping on fallen leaves and having some stuck on my shoes, and that annoyed me a little. And the characters of my story stood there, as if set on pause, waiting for me to command them in some way. So, thinking that I was still thinking of my story, and trying to sleep, I made the girl help the young man, and he coughed. Out of his shirt would come blue butterflies, and the girl just stared with her mouth half open. Since I had found myself in my own story, I decided I wanted to interfer with the whole story line. So, I went up to them and said hi. They both just stared blankly, as if they expected me to command them to say something. Then, a bunch of maroon coloured, large birds flew over our heads and we all bended down in order to dodge them. And that's where I thought "Hey, this isn't supposed to be part of my story, I wanted it to be different. It must be a dream". So then, I started talking to both of them, and they were actually really nice. At some point, I even said "Hey, you know, you're much nicer than the people I know. I'm not afraid to be myself with people like you" and they somewhat "bowed" to me and said "It's our pleasure, you created us anyway"..D: We were walking around the forest, and at some point I was a bit bored so I made us appear next to a waterfall. I sat on a huge rock and smiled at the sight, it was beautiful. They sat too and I thought to myself that I had to have my boyfriend with me, since we always dreamed of being near a waterfall togethere. It only took one wish, and there he was. I introduced him to my two new friends, and he asked me something like "Hey, I told you not to sleep too much, okay? You need to study french a bit more. But you've been tired, so it's okay."...He did say something similar earlier in the txt, the one he sent before I fell asleep. And I just laughed and said I'd study later. We watched the waterfall for a long while, and at the same time I was imagining fairies, and I saw some small ones, almost identical to Tinkerbell, flying around the waterfall. I pointed at them and then looked at everyone and said "This is so much better than real life. I wish I could stay here forever." And then, I wanted to see a unicorn. So I made one come running to us. It was so beautiful, and so realistic. I went to stroke its nose and it started smelling my hand, just like dogs tend to do. Then, all of the sudden, I thought to myself that I should go and study french. So I got up, hugged my boyfriend and waved at the other two, telling them that I have to study and return. And that's when I woke up. At first, I felt all dizzy, and stared at the ceiling. I was really confused, and I wasn't sure whether that was a dream or whether just the story I started thinking of. Then I looked at my cellphone...18.48 pm. I had gotten into bed at 16.00.. Well that was..wow. One of the most amazing experiences ever. I haven't ever had such a dream before. So, what do you think? Was that really a common lucid dream? And, is it possible that my story continued in my dream? How did it happen? And why was I supposed to be in charge of my character's reactions and words, even the dream? =3 Sorry it's so freaking long.
