      Question Semi-Lucid?? Help!

Last night I had a dream that literally felt like only 3 seconds long.
First I'll explain my dream and then I'll explain why I though I might have been lucid.
This is straight from my dream log

"I was looking at a little girl as if I was talking to her. We were in a kitchen, but I don't think I was actually there physically. Its like I was watching TV. She spoke to me without actually opening her mouth. She said "I need help." Then, white words played out in front of me, like they were being written over the girl. Or as if the girl was a painting, and the words were added over her last. It seemed to be a poem about needing help. Then I woke up without reading the poem."

Now, the reason I believe I was lucid is as following. Also straight from my dream log.

"Through out the dream, which only lasted a couple of seconds, it seems like I was a little bit lucid. I didn't really fully realize "Oh! I'm dreaming! I can do whatever I want!" I just kept mentally telling myself "You are dreaming. You need to wake up to record it!" Its like my real mind realized I was dreaming, but my dream mind did not."

So after I told myself I needed to wake up, I did.
Is that considered lucid dreaming? Although it wasn't very vivid or clear, i've heard that your first lucid dream is often not very vivid.
But then again, the dream ended before I could realize I was dreaming, so it could have become vivid.

Oh and I pretty much know exactly why I was dreaming of a little girl asking for help. I was working with autistic children earlier that day, and we had to ask them when they were working "Do you need help? Use nice words and ask for help." and they would say "Miss Erin, I need help."

      Answers are greatly appreciated!

Sounds to me you realized you were dreaming! Sounds like a lucid dream to me!

So then is it possible that my mind was lucid, but not lucid enough to control myself? The dream still controlled what I did, but not what I thought.

the only real lucid I had before joining DV (it happened years ago) was like this. I didn't really have any control but I kew I was dreaming. So yes, it was probably a LD

So now that I've had one, will it be easier to get more?

If you keep your mind focused on LDing I am sure it will. If you slack off, your chances probably wont increase.
