my first lucid dream (kind of)

Last night I think I had my first lucid dream. I was walking through the street with my friend and then I just started saying dream. After this I got really happy and I was trying to fly but it didn't work. A pretty sad one. During my dream tho I was not as conscious as I am when I am awake, I didn't even think in it, I was just aware that I was dreaming. I was still watching what was going on and not doing anything to control it. Am I doing anything wrong or is it impossible to have the same consciousness as being awake? Ps if you dont understand ill rewrite it because I don't edit my thoughts when I type them I just spit them out.

mmm, then I don't think you were lucid. if you weren't conscious, you weren't lucid.
