First Lucid in 1yr+ (Strange experience)

Hello fellow LDr's. I returned back to this board/LD's a week or so ago with the intention of getting back my LD's.

Well its only been a week since i re-started my dream diary and i have been hit with a pretty strong LD already. This has been a totally different LD than my others......

To cut a long story short, i've had a bad year or so with my dog dying, losing our home etc etc. It's been a few months in my new home now and my LD has kinda reflected back on the past.

The Dream
I was walking behind my old house, and i seen my old dog sitting in the garden, i shouted him...."PATCH!!" and he come jumping over the fence to me. He then ran off and i followed. This is the point i become fully lucid. I then seen Patch playing with myself and my two brothers. We were much younger, we were happy. A strong feeling of sadness flew over me and i began to feel upset in this dream. I then walked to my old house to see the skip outside with all our things in. This got too much for me with all the memories coming back. I decided to try change the dream, a woman appeared and i called her over and i started to take her clothes off, as you do. But i just wasn't interested at all. I decided to just end the dream. You'd have thought after a 1yr + dry spell you would have jumped into the lucid, but no, it really depressed me. I woke up with a slight tear in my eye.

I know that it was kind of a reflection of what i have been through this past year or so, its been on my mind but i have supressed it because its pretty painfull to think about. My LD kind of pulled me right into it again. Maybe its helped me to move on, i dont know. Hopfully i will have some nicer LD's in the coming weeks to report back with.
