How does feel when you wake up?

      Greeting, dreamviewers!

As the title says; How does it feel for you to wake up from a LD?
For myself, everything fades away, and i starts to feel and hear thing from the real life. And then i think like: Damn it, not now! And then i just opens my eyes and lies in my bed.

Would be fun to hear how it feels for you guys.

      Hmm...

Well, it usually happens fairly quickly for me. First the dream starts to lose clarity, and become a bit more foggy and distorted. Next, my vision starts to go black, then the other senses go moments after. I lose the feeling of being "in" my dream body, and for a moment I pass into that sort of in-between state, my dream has faded but I have no feeling from my physical body, where it feels like you're just sor of floating. Then I start to feel my physical body again, then the other senses come back, hearing first, and I open my eyes. It usually happenes within a couple seconds (2-3), but can be slightly more drawn-out sometimes

Usually the dream just fades out and I see the black of my eyelids for a few seconds then my eyes slowly open. Sometimes I sit up in bed really fast. And then my eyes open.

I always just wrap up the dream and when I find that It's been a good run in the dream and has seemed very epic I just wake up, open my eyes. Kinda feels like I go from dream world to wake world in like 2 seconds flat lol

Not like much of anything, really. I just open my eyes. It's like I never was asleep at all.

So you mean that your dream doesnt fade away? You just go from sleep to wake instantly?

Sometimes I will find myself trying to grasp a dream that is fading, kind of what you describe in your first post, but that tends to happens when something wakes me up. Still, there isn't much of a sense of transition.
My last LD was an exception - I suddenly started falling backwards in slow motion and everything faded to black as I fell. I tried to grab hold of a flash of light to pull myself back to the dream but failed, opened my eyes, done.

It's usually more like one moment I'm there and the next I'm not. So, yeah, instant wake up.

I will normally wake to a few false awakenings or sleep paralysis type hallucinations. I rarely wake up normally.

It depend on the dream, when I was working many times I used to dream that I was working and then I wake up saying "damn, I've spent all the night working and now I've to work in RL" xDD
And sometimes I dream of somebody special and when I wake up I think the same thing "it was just a dream"

I'm never satisfied to the awakening xD

It's usually just the same for me as Yumeria. I hardly ever remember what happened in my dream right before I woke up.

      Have a nice day! =]
