      A few firsts for me..

Lastnight, I had what would have been only my 5th lucid dream, and it ended very soon after I'd become lucid.. it was a really strange dream, and for now, I'll leave it at that.

It ends (and lucidity begins) with me falling through the sky, in a standing position. I'm falling and falling and finally I think "Huh, I must be dreaming." So, I look at my hands and realize I am. This was really cool for me because this was my first successful reality check. I have never done a reality check in a dream before, it's always just kinda hit me "oh, I'm dreaming" and then I'm lucid. Then, I try to visualize the ground coming up beneath me, and me landing on it, but it just doesn't happen, so I look down, and that startles me awake.
The moment I became lucid, I had such weird sensations though, I felt like my body was sorta tingly.. and that's an understatement, really. I just felt downright strange.. like I was on some sort of drug..I already had a quickened heartbeat from the falling sensation, and that didn't help deciphering these weird feelings at all.

Anyways, my other first and the main reason for this post, was that I think I experienced SP lastnight for the very first time. I wasn't trying to or anything, but when I woke up this morning, I realized that's what it must have been.
I laid down with my roommate in bed, not feeling sleepy at all really. After a few minutes of cuddling, I found myself extremely relaxed and unable to keep my eyes open. I felt as if I was fighting to stay conscious or something. I was slipping in and out of what felt like sleep, though I wasn't sleeping. I was still conscious at one point, but went to shift my weight and get a little more comfortable, and found that I could move my arms or legs.. couldn't move at all... Soon after, I was sleeping.

What a weird experience, really, when you've never had one like it! I'm excited to have had it though. I hope that this means I'm one step closer to being able to achieve SP/lucidity on my own.

Isn't it an amazing feeling the first time?! Every time has felt just amazing for me, though my experiences have been short and I haven't had full control... I can't imagine what I'll feel like or how excited I'll be when I finally hone my skills a bit.
