      Sorta knew I was dreaming...

Well, I remember having a dream once with like 3 false awakenings, the first one I ran down the hall and some scary guy jumped out at me, so I "woke up", the second time I got out, I went out to see animal crossing being played on the TV (parents played it alot then) but the little dude in it kept on going past the gate and into some forest, and way beyond where you can go in the game. So I think I woke up again, I may have just gone back to my dad from there, but anyway, I told him to slap me as hard as he could, since I knew I was in a nightmare of some kind. So he did, and I official woke up. Since I'm on the topic of that, I seem to have some good ability to make people in my dreams slap me awake in case it starts to turn into a nightmare. Any ideas why I can do this? (No, it's not abuse )

why u can wake up? I think the nightmare could produce a faster heart beat and other things which would inevitably make u wake up. When u are dreaming/sleeping everything slows down, but if you have a nightmare/fear, it could speed things up, does this make sense?
