Have you ever had taste or smell play an important part of a dream?

I think this is the first time I've had this happen, but in the dream (it wasn't lucid, by the way) I was working at a hospital of some sort, lots of blood to clean up I believe, I think that was my job. I took a break for lunch and sat at a little round table with 3 other dream-friends (they don't exist in real life) and one of them offered me fritos. I chewed the fritos and tasted them, and could vividely taste exactly what fritos taste like and feel the textures of them. Then I gave back the bag of fritos and said something like "I don't want them, I've never paid attention to the way fritos actually taste, they really aren't that good." I really didn't like them in the dream, and now that I think about it fritos don't taste very good if you focus on them, they are just good to munch on. This is the first time I even remember tasting/smelling anything in a dream.

Yeah, since reading a thread here about tasting in dream, I've had a couple of dreams with taste AND smell. One (with blood...ugh), was particularly memorable. I had the distinct metalic smell of blood in my nose, and as I continued on my walk, it continued to get stronger. Then I began to taste it. I wondered if I was having a nosebleed (which happens often), and when I saw that nothing was coming out of my nose, I just thought that I must be bleeding down the back of my throat. Then, I started to think that I was dreaming...and drifted to a new dream . Dang... What an idiotic way to miss a lucid.

Hmmm, I've never had a nose bleed in my life. I guess I'm just lucky. I have dreams involving bees quite often, but I've never been stung by one of those either.
