Had my first lucid, after one day on the site!

I was so excited, that the first time I woke up... but then I tried WBTB method.. and it worked great. Here is my account of the dream.

I am on a beach, and I somehow remember that I was just asleep, so I think, "How can this be possible?!". I instantly perform a reality check. I look at my hands. Sure enough, I have 6 fingers on one and 4 on the other. I am now lucid. Everything is extremely vivid and realistic. I can feel the sun and the warm wind, its a very blissful setting. The sand is very soft and deep. In an attempt to change the setting, I begin crawling away from the water, for some reason I cannot stand up, and the crawling is very slow, as my arms are fully enveloped in the sand with every movement. I can feel my mind starting to wander, so in fear of losing my lucidity, I use the common "rub your hands together" technique, which supposedly reconnects one's body with the dreamworld. It worked phenomenally, my lucidity reinstated instantly. However, when I reach the back of the beach, I fall into a sandbar like area, and I feel an intense sting on my arm. I realize I am in a pool fool of jellyfish. I try to remain calm, telling myself I am only dreaming. However it is so vivid and realistic that my mind quickly forgets that, and I become so frightened that I wake up.

      Well done!

There seems to be a pattern in dreaming where "You can achieve anything you put your mind to" is a stronger reality in dreaming than waking life, as ironic as that may sound. It seems simply thinking about dreams can make them easier to remember and cause them to be more vivid. The same for thinking of Lucid Dreams. Your experience immediately after visiting us shows that.

      Good job.
