      My First Lucid Experience!

Okay, so this morning I woke up at 6:30 because I had a doctor's appointment at 8:30. I usually wake up at 8:30. So when I got home around 11 I was exhausted. So around 11:30 I turned off the lights and shut the blinds.

But before I continue on, I must tell you that today was a quite special day for me. I woke up remembering several very vivid dreams. Which put me in a very good mood.

But anyways, before laying down.. I just tried doing a couple exercises. I spun around in a circle while rubbing my hands, saying "I'm dreaming." I then lied down very dizzy. Which was almost put me in a trance immediately. I felt like I was spinning down into a dream while falling asleep.

Next thing I remember I was dreaming. I was swinging on my swing set listening to music. It was pretty dark, and from what I remember I could only see my swing set. I got off the swing though for some reason. And when I was walking it was almost hard to walk. It was almost like I was trippin' on Salvia. In fact, I may have been (in my dream) because I remember thinking that that is what it felt like. After reaching the swing-set's ladder, I then climbed up the ladder and saw fireworks out of place. I immediately said.. "Am I dreaming?" .. "Yes! I'm dreaming!" I couldn't believe it, I finally have done it. I could feel my mind waking up, but unfortunately I started actually waking up due to over excitement. I was coming out of the dreamy state when I remembered to stay calm. So I did, I started to slowly sink back into the dream. It felt amazing. I can remember a big white flash coming towards me, and having a body sensation that I can not explain. I just remember it felt incredible, and refreshing.

I was sooo close to achieving full lucidity, when my arm twitched (it was kinda a big twitch that shook my chest). I then completely snapped out of it and I slowly went back. I did realize I was coming back as well.

I then slowly opened my eyes and smiled. I felt extremely energized and awake. I tried to go back.. but I was just too awake.

Although I didn't sustain lucidity for very long, or even get to test anything out, I am very very glad I had this experience. It is a big milestone for me, and I feel this has greatly helped me in my quest to master lucid dreams.

      Awesome, good job.

Closest I've got to a DILD...I had a similar experience whenever I "awoke" in my dream, I saw a huge white flash and heard a funny "whooooop"ing sound.

Some dude was talking to me about his lucid induction failures and that set the alarm bells ringing.

Thanks Darkborne! I really hope it does get alot more natural and easy for me. That would be just awesome!

And stritch, my friend made the signature for me. And I took that picture and went into Photoshop and put the text in

And I'm really glad that someone else has had the big white flash as well. It re-ensures that what I had was a legit lucid expereince
