WAS THIS LUCID???? ps. im new.

I was reading about lucid dreams yesterday and in fact it wa the first time i heard about it, even so i still wanted to give it ago the same night as im sure i have experienced this before without knowing it was a lucid dream.

i fell asleep and was woken up early in the morning about 5am (without managing to become lucid), i stuggled for about 30mins to get back to sleep, at the same time trying to remember to try and become lucid, i then fell asleep... i INSTANTLY knew i was dreaming, i didnt have to do a reality check, i just knew. so i thought what the hell and tried to float. i really struggled but managed get high from the bed.... seconds later i lost control and tilted to the side and slowly drifted to the floor, as soon as i hit the floor i woke in my bed. i was only asleep for a minute or so.

know seeing as i only researched this yesterday i find it hard to beleive i was lucid on the first night, has anyone had an experience like this before?

also the "dream" seemed like i was awake subconsiously, but not as awake as i usually feel in the real world.

please respond, im going to sleep now and i will post if i get another experience like last night, Joe.
Hows that for a slice of fried gold!

      HEY OnlyJoe

      You were indeed Lucid

There are differant levels of lucidity, explaining why it did not seem as realistic as waking life.

And as far as beginners luck. I don't think it is luck at all. It happened to me and seems to happen to a lot of people in the forum.
I theorize that your brain has no preconcieved notions of LDing and it makes it easier to obtain if you are open minded to start of with.

      Hope you have plenty more!!

WOOHOO!!!! Congratulations man, that WAS a lucid dream!!!!!!!!!

And I get the same funny feeling when I'm lucid too. Like it's this "sub" level of reality. But it's still cool though eh?

it was like dreaming that you woke up. in the dream i was walking down a street in my neighborhood, i turned a corner and was downtown. i then dreamt that i thought, "this is a dream," (i had been reading the forums before i went to bed. that probably triggered it). i then felt myself waking up. it sounds like a lucid dream, but i remember i had no other sense but sight, and the whole dream was really fuzzy, just like a regular one, the dream's intensity didnt increase, nor did my cognizance; i dreampt that i was lucid.

Good Job ! Not beginners Luck!

If you read up on Lucid dreaming you should know that

Yes their are different levels of Consiousness in the dreams
When you wake from dreams you shouldnt move (I dont exactly know why) But they say if you stay in the position you woke up in you'll have an easier time remembering your dream you just had
And If you sleep for 6-7 hours, and set your alarm to wake you up...do something for 30-45 minutes, read about lucid dreaming, check your email do something, than go back to sleep, It definitley increases your odds 10 fold to have a lucid dream, I;'ve experiences it time and time again.

      Happy Dreaming !
I hope Freddy Kruger comes into my dreams one day so I can Fuck him up bad!
