Lucid dream!

In this dream nothing happens at all. No story, not a person. The only reason I saw myself lucid was because of the amazing clearity of the dream. Clearity I have never experianced before. It felt and looked real and that's how I knew I was dreaming. The dream starts and ends in the same spot.

I am at a street corner on the sidewalk. The sun is shining brightly. There is no one in sight, no cars on the road.
I suddenly say, "Wow, this is the clearest dream I've ever had!" I run a bit and twirl around happily.

The dream then faded away and I continued to sleep.
It was a very nice feeling.

But now I wonder, because I knew it was a dream just from its clearity, does this mean I always know when I am dreaming, but never say it? I always recall in my dreams I change events because I know I can, as if in the back of my mind I know I am dreaming, but I don't actually say its a dream.
