Thread: my first lucid!

ive been dying to tell you guys but the website's been down. basically i'm in a dark room and i open the door and straight away i'm lucid i see an old friend i haven't seen for years and ask him if he's a dream character, he says "maybe" so i know i'm dreaming! i see a teacher from my school and she asks me for the "key to the clear-house", i say "i don't even know what the clear-house IS ms.wilde" i walk away from her and back through the door i came, i glance back quickly and she has a peg-leg! i decide i want to do something interesting as i'm lucid and i notice the walls are different. there's a mirror and it has a big frame, blue and yellow. i reach over to touch it but i stumble and my hands miss, like i misjudged the distance, it felt weird in a bad way. i reach out again and i touch it though. i decide to the dream-test i usually do, and not one but two fingers come through my palm! there's another door so i open it, there are six lightswithces, the type you pull on. i pull them, and look above me and notice that all of the lights are on, i'm surprised because i din't pull them in order at all (although i was lucid obviously i wasn't using much logic) so i expected myself to have pulled on some of them more than once by accidenti walk down the stairs in front of me and i decided that as i wasn't doing much i should probably let myself wake up.

it wasn't the most interesting dream i've ever had but it was AWESOME!!!

the way i did it was i woke up an hour earlier than i should and wrote my dream journal as usual, but then fell back asleep, is this NILD?

also i meditated the day before, which aswell as relaxing me helps me keep my mind clear.

so the only thing i really want to know now is how to start using dream control baby

Practice, practice, practice!

If you're like me, you'll probably find that it's easier to control your own actions, but harder to control your dream environment. I have varying degrees of control -- sometimes it seems like I can do anything I want, other times everything seems to be a struggle. Just don't give up! Try different ways of doing things, and you'll probably find what works best for you.

is there anything that i should be taking note of in that dream btw?
