LD's bout war

Has anyone ever had an LD bout fighting a war in a different country.....???

I've had dreams of fighting in wars before, but not against different countries. I think they were all bought on by videogames.

I had a dream where i was in Iraq and dreading going on patrol, i was patrolling with people from my school. We got into a fire fight and i was saving their asses, they're pretty cool dreams i gotta say. I also had a dream of raiding a building with my friends shooting up terrorists so that was pretty weird. I think i've had a few others and they're fun as hell you get a rush from em and you can't die.

If I ever have a dream where I'm in a war, I'd think I'd want it to be some mediaval time sort of thing. Like aincient rome or feudal japan. That would be just kick-ass.

I used to have these, not LDs, but halfway. Always involved weird and poetic visual metaphor. I've been shot at by a cruise missile, which was crazy real for when I dreamed about it - about 8 years ago - back vefore I knew what a cruise missile was. Dreamed about Iraq also.

Yeah all these were half lucid, i could alter certain things when i thought of them but never realized i was dreaming. One time i had a dream where i was the first in line about to board an opposing pirate ship. I was like halfway over the plank about to get on their ship when i thought omg i'm gonna die but then when they charged me i just started picking them up and throwing them overboard, it was hilarious and fun.

well, not against a country per se. I've fought against some crazy dude who brought on an apocalypse with a bunch of other people

I had a non LD were I was a commander in a LOTRlike plot (killing orcs and all that). It was quite fun...

Hello, this is OrcaXIII again. I actually did have a few dreams with fights but no wars. That would rule though, but if it was lucid I'd just transport somewhere else b/c I could justa s easily disappear the other people in a split second...

I have had dreams about huge battles but usually I am just a spectator. It would always seem like I was just sitting on a grassy hill near sunset or sunrise then I would hear distant explosions. This is where it got a little strange, I then would see huge blocks of soldiers (I guess about 3 or 4 brigades on each side) but they were fighting in the same style as the American Revolution but they all had today's uniform on. Unfortunately I would wake up before they got into the real fighting. It would be interesting to dream about an old war like during the Medieval time period except have a modern weapon like a machine gun.

I once had a World War II dream, but it only lasted about half a minute (actually 3 in quick succession). In the first, I dodged an artillery shell, in the second I shot a German soldier in the head, and in the third by best friend was ripped apart head-on by a grenade. Scary stuff...

I can't recall ever having a "traditional" war dream, but I have had multiple dreams where I was back in the service. Some of these dreams involved myself (and my unit) doing certain drills or tasks...the oddest (and most memorable) one involved trying to keep dinosaurs from crossing this huge ditch in order to keep them from the human populace...however we were ordered NOT too harm the dinosaurs in the process, so we had to shoot over their heads and along the ground in front of them in order to herd them away. What else made this particular dream memorable was that my weapon actually had ammunition in it...almost every other dream that I have had involving firearms, I am always looking for ammo. that I never seem to find.

Thats kind of ironic. When you need the ammo to kill people you can't find it but when you are ordered NOT to kill something then you have plenty of it. Yea that sounds like something I would expect from my chain of command.

I've got to try this. I have never had a lucid dream where I was in a war, but since childhood, I have had dreams about fighting in the war that ends the world as we know it. I am always at the point of the war where civilization as we know it is over and beyond repair, but the war that caused it is still going. For some reason, this situation is always happening right outside some other situation, like hanging out on a beach with no worries and the war is going on on the other side of a sand dune, or happening on the other side of my closet. Helicopters often appear and fly over me. For some strange reason, the situation never gets to me emotionally (except once when one of the soldiers in my tank turned out to be the reincarnation of my brother, who is alive in real life but had been killed in the war in that particular dream in 1983), as it of course would do beyond comprehension in real life. It is as if I might as well be making a sandwich.

I had a war dream, it wasn't with other countries though, it was from some book I read (one of the Redwall books.) I was helping to defend a castle from bad things and we didn't have very much of an army, so a rabbit gave me a strangely shaped, orange whistle, and whenever I blew it woodland animals from other far-away lands came to help me. That dream was almost a year ago, so i can't remember all of the details. Oh yeah, it was a non-LD.
