Didn't Become Lucid

i feel so dumb. yesterday i had a dream where my brother was driving my truck and kept rolling it and destroying it. i was sitting there and kept telling my friend that it didn't matter because it was a dream. i also was pinching myself showing that its a dream and i dont feel pain. i didnt become lucid at all though and dont know why.

It happens, and quite often at that actually. You'd be surprised how many times I've had dreams that were either incredibly obviously dreams, or that I even thought or stated they were dreams, and yet I didn't become lucid. Don't let it discourage you, it's completely normal

You might have had some sort of lucidity. Stating, "This is a dream" is basically equal to, "I'm lucid" However, you had no control over the dream and you did not perform any desired task while lucid. Other possibility is that you became lucid for a moment and then you lost your lucidity. That happens sometimes! Keep up the good work! You are closer than you think to become fully lucid.

Yeah im just starting to get back into LDing after about 4 or 5 months. what got me back is that the night before last night i had 4 lds in one night! im hoping to WILD tonight, and if not, DILD.

So even if you do not lucid dream, recall your dreams, write them down, and enjoy them vividly in waking life. Its good to daydream with your own dreams, that will increase the chances to trigger a DILD.
