Well, the usual stuff applies: keep a journal devoted entirely to your dreams within reach so you can write stuff down during the night without having to get up; keep still for a couple minutes immediately after waking up (except to turn off an alarm, of course) and try to remember what you were just doing in your dreams; read through a sample of older dreams in case a dream sign helps you remember something... While it's not exactly the same sort of recall, you can improve by periodically tracing your actions backward during the day. The greater the detail with which you do this, the more likely you are to succeed when you try to remember dreams in the morning. On the other hand, trying too hard to remember dreams tends to make my recall more unpredictable (I'll either remember nothing or ridiculous numbers of dreams). If you're focusing really intently on your recall right now, try relaxing the effort a bit. What's your usual routine?
