2 Recurring Dreams (Usually very horrific)

Hello all, this is something I've pondered throughout the years since I was a kid (Even some night terrors). I've always had nightmares, but it seems as I get older there's really about two that stand out. I continue to have them, but instead of them being the exact same nightmare, it seems like the dreams build upon themselves and grow. I'll tell as you as I give the examples of nightmares. As it stands I don't watch Horror films, because I can't stand the Horror of it all (some pun intended). But being very honest, I tend not to give into these and not usually worry about them, but sometimes they throw me for a loop and I just don't know what to do.

      1) A killer family (much like texas chainsaw massacre type family). Each individual member of the family is outright messed up in their own individual way. It always happens in a giant creepy house (Same house), and originally started with only one Antagonist (Me being the protagonist) a big scary man (looks and acts much like leatherhead). Over each contributing nightmare, the house and it's surroundings have grown and I have a pretty good idea what the entire house looks like now, and leather faces family has grown. Mother (Mother was absent from my childhood), Father (My own father was abusive when I was young), Grandparents (Both my grandparents are dead), apparently siblings (I'm an only child), but overall, I haven't been able to play Leatheread's actually position in the family (Maybe son?). I don't generally dream of him anymore, now surrounding family members, but I generally know it's a contributing nightmare because he'll be dragged into it, or the layout of the house or feel of the nightmare feels the same as it does in the past. In each nightmare I'm generally running for my life and end up waking up right before I'm brutally murdered in some new and horrific way, or wake up right before I'm tortured. (I.E. Like last night, thought I would wake up as I had to hide inside a giant pigs stomach from (I think leatherhead's father, mother, and niece???), only to actually wake up from the nightmare jumping forward (Like me acting as the camera in a horror film) to his sister's room and her trying to scoop out the camera's eye with a doll... (Camera being me.. This nightmare got to me). Figured it was time to get some semblance of an answer.

      2) The second nightmare of my that continuously recurs but constantly builds upon itself is another horror type scary nightmare. Same type of scary house (usually a mansion or hotel of sorts... kind of like the shining). This nightmare usually has a ghost/witch? type character living in what usually is the top right corner of the house/mansion. The ghost is a her. In each nightmare it's generally just the ghost that is the antagonist (Hasn't grown into multiple characters like nightmare 1, but the build up usually is always different leading to the same setting and conclusion). In this nightmare I'm never actually chased so to speak, but in the nightmare I always have an overwhelming sense of gloom (like knowing something is going to happen, feeling of being watched, as which is different from the first one as the feeling is dread and despair) and a sense that she's always watching me. Generally I don't realize it is the nightmare until the end of the nightmare as it always ends with me realizing I'm in the same nightmare, fleeing from the house (Not ghost) and dream ends (nothing horrific this time). I always (at the end of each version of this nightmare) end up her room and looking at her things. Realizing it's her things I always end up somehow being confronted to the ghost and run away. In earlier versions of this nightmare the ghost actually did terrorize me and chase me. As it stands now sometimes I'll realize I'm in the nightmare and run away from the place early on and get away (Wake up), but sometimes the ghost "gets" me and I'll just wake up startled or frightened.

Somehow with each nightmare I will generally (not always) know it's a nightmare while inside the dream near the ending of the nightmare, but not usually the moment I wake up. Not sure if there is any contributing factors (possibly caffeine?) or any triggers that I know of before each and every time, unfortunately haven't been keeping track all that well (They appear random to me). I just know I'm tired of having them. Thanks in advance and sorry if I wasn't detailed enough. Wanted to get as much details as possible without all the gore (Did want to give an idea that it is gory though). Hope someone out there has ideas or answers. Have a great day.
