      Nightmares

I had many nightmares through my childhood, and they started again recently, but stopped. All of my nightmares have been about...
      A. Going to school with no shoes on
      B. Things hiding behind shower curtains
      C. Driving
      D. Stairs
      E. The Exceptions

      A. I used to have horrifically stressful, frustrating dreams about coming to school with no shoes on. Through the dream I'd try to hide it, or occasionally try to run home and get shoes.

      B. One of the reasons I used to wet the bed as a toddler was that I'd wake up, full of urine, and be too afraid to go into the bathroom and relieve myself because of recurring nightmares where monsters, Chewbacca being one that sticks out in my head, were hiding behind my shower curtain in my bathroom. It's not like I'd have dreams with a plot about this. I'd just see them in the dream, behind the curtain, so when I woke up, I thought that somehow I knew they were there. Recently, I had a dream where a little gnome attacked me from behind a shower curtain, and another where I had a feeling somethign was hiding behind the curtain, so I kicked it. Realising that I'd just alerted whatever it was to the fact that I was on to it, I began to frantically attack the curtain.

      C. I've had lots of dreams where I'm driving, and I'm totally freaking out because I know I can't drive and I don't want to crash. That's basically it.

      D. As a child, I had a staircase leading to my basement. No landings, just a full staircase. I used to jump down two steps at a time sometimes, or even three. I'd have dreams where I'd jump all the way down, and get that roller coaster stomach explosion feeling. then, 'd turn to the section of my basement which, in real life, was very messy with lots of boxes. In the dreams, it'd be a cave. I'd get this feeling that there were monsters there, so I'd turn and run to the stairs as quickly as possible and jump all the way back up. My grandmother tells me that when she was a toddler, she had the same exact dreams.

      E. There are some exceptions to these 4 categories. I had an epic two hour long post apocalyptic survival nightmare (that's the dream where I fought the shower curtain, above). I also had a dream where a werewolf crashed my birthday party. I think my memory is playing tricks on me, but the dream may have portrayed my house as it appears now, after an addition that was not even remotely in the works at the time of the dream. And the third was extremely recent, where an old man in a steam engine pulled up to me, got out and started staggering towards me. I totally freaked out and kneed him in the balls, and then smashed his face into my knee.

      Yup. Any feedback?
