Recurring nightmare about mental illness...

So basically I keep having these dreams in which a person in the dream has some sort of mental illness that turns them into a blabbering nutcase. Keep in mind though it's never me! They're usually so emotional I wake up sobbing or close to it So last nights is a good example. In the dream me and my sister were sitting on the curb across the street from these two big beautiful houses. It was a lovely summer evening and at one of the houses they were having a BBQ. This tall woman with gray hair comes out from the house with another woman and they were laughing and having a great time when they gray haired woman comes over and introduces herself and asked if we would like to come over for a burger. So while we're there the woman tells us that she was recently diagnosed with some kind of brain disease or tumor or something and she won't be able to take care of herself when the disease progresses so she was hosting this BBQ for her neighbors and friends as a sort of celebration of her life. Also, the other woman that we saw her with lives next door and is a really close friend and has agreed to take care of her as long as she can so the woman can still live in her house. So then I woke up, got a glass of water and went back to bed. The dream continued. Fast forward a few months and me and my sister are yet again sitting on the curb of that street. This time we're sitting on the side that the big houses are on and we were trying to figure out what city we were in to check the weather when this woman comes stumbling towards us. It was the gray haired woman and my sister said "Oh my god, Hi!! How are you?" The woman glares at us and keeps walking, she gets a few feet away and her left leg goes limp so now she's dragging herself and then she finally collapsed. The neighbor came running over to help as well as a teenage boy who was gray haired woman's grandson. When she finally got up she was speaking gibberish and crying. The neighbor ran into the house because she too had started to cry. All of a sudden gray haired woman seemed fine and asked her grandson if he was here for the BBQ. She thought it was last summer... So he starts yelling at her for stressing him and everyone else out and me and my sister left... So then I woke up and I was so upset because it was so vivid and detailed it felt so real. So I stayed up for like 45 minutes so I wouldn't fall back into it. Well i did. Except I was now the gray haired woman. I was seeing everything from her mind except I knew she was sick and all this stuff she was seeing wasn't real. From her point of view everything was still fine and everybody was just being abusive to her. Needless to say when I woke up from that one I didn't go back to bed... These dreams are all to common for me. They usually follow the same format (back story, onset, person loses their mind, I experience what that person is going through). Can anybody shed some light on these dreams? I'm starting to think it's me that's going crazy **And then there was a hurricane and I broke into a bank and got shot. Totally irrelevant but totally awesome
