If you were to die

I know this sounds horrible... If you were able to chose how you died how would you want to die. I would want to drown, I heard form people with near death experiences that it is pretty and relaxing once, you stop fighting the water.

either in my sleep or drowning...i have heard the same thing....suppose to be extremely tranquil once your lungs completely fill with water and your body gives up on living

erm. drowning would be preceeded by a feeling of sheer terror and stark helplessness. i don't think i'd like to pass away in my sleep either though--i'd imagine i'd like to see my loved ones one last time. so i dunno.

ya...but my all time favorite has always been: i want to die while walking through an extremely crowded hallway, when suddenly, my head explodes, covering everything within a 25 ft radius in grey matter and blood, possibly bits of skull, for absolutely no reason...a freak occurance of spontaneous explosion...of course it'll never happen, but it would be awesome...people would be scarred for life...it would be extra terrible if i was walking with some loved ones or friends...weee

Aww... my first crush (a boy in my first grade class) got hit by a train and died. It wasn't pretty. My birth mother is one of those weird people that likes to go watch a building burn, and when she heard about the accident on the scanner, she dragged me along to see. I still remember the police looking for the parts of his body. I didn't understand it back then, but now that I'm older, I think it was a pretty fucked-up thing for my mother to do to me. As far as my own death, there's a part of me that wants to go out fighting. But I did that in a past life already, so I think I want to go peacefully in my sleep in this one. Nothing violent, nothing showy, I'll just quietly go into the arms of my goddess and wake up somewhere else. My last wish for this body is to have it cremated and returned to the elements. I want to be thrown off a cliff overlooking the ocean so that my physical body will have passed through all of the elements--earth, air, fire, and water.

That is SO not cool. I'd like to hear more about your "going out swinging" previous life's end too. I'm not really sure how i'd want to go out... I guess I would like to go out for a good cause... I'd like to be with my wife, at the end of a warm summer evening as twilight was falling. Leaning up against a tree after just completing a fun filled day of hiking! Holding hands, looking into each others eyes, kissing one last time, then both of us leave this physical world together with smiles on our faces! Thanks! Hope we can still hike when we are in our 90's. And I do hope we both go our together! By choice, after all our affairs are in order with no loose ends for the kids, grandkids, and great-grand kids to pick up! Not suicide, just like flipping off the light switch and moving on. I know I wouldn't want to go on without her, and she feels the same way.

Yeah I hate that feeling... wondering if I will have to go by myself. Oh and to backtrack.... I do not want to die doing something I love, if I ever died dancing... wow I feel sorry for whoever I am dancing with. Although now that I sit back and think about it, one last romantic dance and dieing gracefully in a really low dip might be ok... but only if I were younger I wouldn't want to die like that when I was older (don't know why that is just how I feel).
