my family cant seem to undersatnd that if you dont believe in God or Jesus your not Christian... so to them im Christian but i have my own beliefs about souls n spirtis and stuff soo not realy a certain religion although i like some Buddhist ideas such as "The Middle Way" and "Karma" etc..

Unoffically: Well, I dont belive in god, but i like to celbrate jewish holidays, band I really love alot of Buddist Ideals. Im just nothing and a little bit over eveyrthing mixed into the nothingness. I just pick out peices of religions that I find fasinating.

Unofficially: Everything. I've slipped into stages of atheism or agnosticism, or so I think. But I don't really think I could really believe those. My old convictions are well deeply-embedded. I like Buddhist ideals, because they're not dogmatic. Ultimately, I don't think a religion is going to do it for mankind.

"Officially" I'm a Catholic

"Unofficially" I'm nonreligious(much more informative answer than atheist, as atheism only says that you don't believe in god, but that doesn't mean you don't have a religion).

The funny part is I know far more about Catholicism and go to church far more than most Catholics. I am growing to loath Christianity as I go there and listen to them preaching their slave morality, it pisses me off to no end. One of these days I'm going to just get up and walk out.

Officially - I was raised in a Baptist/Catholic environment and went to a private Christian school during my elementary years.

Reality - I finally awoke up from years of dogmatic brainwashing and now I'm living a full and satisfying life as a recovered theist.

If there is no God, then there is no eternal life for the soul! If there is no eternal life for the soul, then how can we bare the pain of such a brief existence? What meaning could our lives possibly have??

----translation: I'm a Christian and have no qualms about sharing what I believe, but I'm not going to shove my beliefs down people's throats. As for the mystic part, I don't believe in spirits, but I am facinated by things that seem "above" reality, such as lucid dreaming. Also, I'm very skeptical about many things (such as shared dreaming, psi abilties, precognition, etc.) but I'm not going to just walk away and stick my tongue out at people. If it is real, that's cool, but if not I'm okay with that, too.
