      Best and Worst School Subjects

I thought this would be a cool thread. State what they are, and why!

I'm going to address the opinion I had during most of my early years of school.

My favorite was science, and my least favorite was history.
I never was much interested in our past, for some reason, but rather learning scientific stuff that I could apply in life right now. I found science more tasteful and interesting than history, which I thought was meaningless since it was over. My friend liked history because he found it interesting to watch how history repeats itself....No thank you, I think I'll watch things happen once! God, I believe my Math and English scores on SAT's would be around 80-90 percent, but my history is like 20-30, I always bomb it for some reason....I would fly by the questions with so little clue to what the answers were.

I'm a visual and kinesthetic learner, and looking back, I probably didn't like history because the textbooks had boring black and white pictures as opposed to the Science books' awesome colourful diagrams and close up shots! Things coulda been different, ya know....School systems suck big time, yo!

      Accounting, because it sucks.

      Biology, because it sucks more.

I enjoy: philosophy - nothing can be more important
Art - the process of creation
Creative writing - I'll finish this book one day!

      Avoid like the plague:
maths - neglect of maths and science since high school makes it impossible for me to crunch numbers
Business, marketing et al - Die! you people degrade our lives with the superfical junk you propagate for your own self substanciation.

English Language, because i love words...i love putting words together, playing around with them, making emotions and feelings come out of letters...i'm a prolific talker, so that probably helps!

Maths!! AGGGHHH!! Three times i failed my GCSE..partly because i've always been crap at the subject, and partly because exams make my mind go numb.

Oh English had to be the worest. Its the SAME class over and over and over. You take it every year and they don't teach you anything new. Ok so every once in a while you would get a good teacher, or you would learn something new. Most of it is the same thing though, over and over and over. It always had the most homework too. With a book reports all the time. Then in the lower grades they had spelling tests every week, and basicly you would just stare at a list of 20 words and repeat them over and over and over untill you know them. Obviously it doesn't work though, look at how many people who can spell perfectly. I know I used to suck at spelling. The only thing that saved me was this computer. Typing things out all the time, when I talk to people on the internet. Thats the way to learn how to spell, by using it. Not by staring at a piece of paper repeating it over and over and over.

Anyway you get my point. I probably learned more about forming sentences from taking german than I did taking english. I seriously hate english.

My faveritote subject is History!! I love it soo much. It is like benign in the futre now and knowing whats going to happen.. Also you can sit back and anaizle and think what happneed and why. Then you can think that if just one detial was chnage, our wolrd woudl be so different. It is the study inot our sleves relaly.. History is one the most amazing things humans have. No other animal can study its past and see hwo far they have come and predict where they will be going based on the past. Ah, I love it so much....

My least faveritoe would have to be um.... science( not including astronomy) It is my least faveritoe beacse it is so dull. There are no interesitng twists or stories in it. Its just codl hard scinece and math and not alot of room for feeling. I mean I dont hate it, I someitmes find it so fun and interesting, but it my least faveitoe. I dont hate any school subjects. I love school so much.

Isnt It funny that Air Ricky and I have the opposite fav and least fav. I didnt exspect tha. haha.

Well, my favorite ones would have to be Video Game Creations & Web 2. In just a few months, I'll be going down to a tech center & taking College Credit computer classes!!
My least favorite class (just for the next 3 weeks) would have to be math. It isn't really the subject itself (in fact, when I was in 1st grade, it was my favorite subject), but the fact that I have to sit by that moron who hacked into my email account, & that I totally get beaten up in there!
My weakest class would have to be English. I can handle memorization & reading books, but I cannot do reading comprehension. It has always been my big weakness, b/c I never understand the concept of certain areas in a book!

      ^Hoorah for the over-used quotes...

I can't really say what is the best and the worst because I like many subjects, but don't really hate anything.

I like a lot: Math, physics, history

I like somewhat: Languages, everything not mentioned

I don't like as much as those:: Biology, geography, chemistry, religion

Well, maybe religion would be the worst. I'm just not so interested in studying Jesus. Math and physics rock anyway.

I think that's because Logic reasoning (Math) and Creative reasoning (Literature) are on completely different hemispheres of the brain. I could be wrong though.

Best subjects in school: English/Literature, Art, and for some weird reason, Biology. I totally aced Biology, which surprised my family because I’m so stupid.

Worst subjects in school: Math and anything Mathematically related. This included Geometry, which I barely passed. And I mean barely…

That means most people are to imbalanced then. Doesn't matter if they are on different sides, it shouldn't be opposites. Unless your half brain dead or something.

its been a few years but:

i liked : math, chemistry, physics, computer science

      i hated : english, geography

i hated english so much, that i scammed being advanced a year of school to avoid having to take it for another year. i think it was the way it was presented. like just read a book and write a report on it. that sort of thing was always too open ended for me, i never quite knew what i was supposed to write. if we had studied the structure of literature, and how specific emotions are generated etc, i.e. a more scientific approach, i may have enjoyed it some.

there seems to be a huge gender thing, with lots of boys preferring maths etc, and girls preferring english etc. i'm just odd.

Maybe I'm just an oddball, but I do like both logic (math, physics) and creative reasoning (literature, arts).

      Yikes!

I didn't know this was gonna be such a huge thread. I guess it's something people like to relate to.

Nah, I really can see and appreciate all the subjects. That's cool, barbizzle, a way of seeing history as if we're reading the present from da past. Very nice. Plainly said, what I'm good at, I like. Because if I like it and do it better, then it means quicker hw completion and longer lunches and recesses!!

I think English is great. Of course, they shouldn't call the class English, but rather communication education....otherwise, I should be able to tell the school board that I had 12 years of foreign language... *England's in Europe, dammit!*

I got fluctuating grades, though. I'm weird like that. I'd have high score spells, and then dry low score spells, sometimes close to failure.

Sigh, I wish I was a nerd...(as long as I get to keep my sexy body)
