Body Alteration - Boobies

I've been pondering this philosphical issue for a little while now, besides it's a welcome change to the 'America sucks' topics This involves body alteration. When I was young, mostly drug addicts and sailors had tattoos. The majority of body piercings were restricted to the side show at the circus. Now they are both quite common, you run into them all the time and they are considered to be a normal way of expressing yourself and have sunk into mainstream life. Here is the relevant thought. You guys out there, if it were as socially acceptable as getting a tattoo and carried as little social stigma as a piercing, and cost was not an issue, would you undergo plastic surgery to have breasts? Think about it. Males in this world are truly fascinated by that female body part. Would you like to have a pair of your own, to look at or touch any time you wished?

Would I want implants? No As we all know, it just wouldn't be the same as the real thing. Not just the feeling of them, but also the fact that their yours and not some hott girl's. It'd (obviously) be like masturbation which is nothing compared to real sex. The ability to masturbate with boobies I don't think would equal out with the ridicule you would get from being a guy walking around with boobs. So, sorry. No. I wouldn't get my own personal boobies. Might be a novelty at first, but when every guy starts getting them i,m sure it will wear off. Think about it, guys would be comparing them and flaunt them even more so than woman. ha ha. Intresting philosphic question seeker. Alot of people will awnser 'No' right away, but they don't take in account that in your theory society will have accepted it... that it would be as normal as a piercing.. I think I still wouldn't want it, it would be fun for a few weeks, but boobs seem like they would get in the way all the time, and they would take the special-ness out of real woman boobs

Definitely an interesting question, though if it's all that philosophic... I don't know. Either way, no. I mean, the thought they're your own and that they're fake .. makes it a turnoff for me. EDIT My point being, I'd rather fondle a girl's boobs than my own implanted fake ones.

I don't like fake breasts in a woman, why would I wish to get them myself? They would be a hassle besides, and you would have to deal with the sagging issue as you age. I get where you're coming from with the issue of social acceptance seeker, although it wouldn't be my thing.

I think it's not time yet time for a thing like that. But as society grows I could imagine man having breasts ... the ones who like it would have it .. just as with tatoos ... I mean you have transsexuals walking around on the street .. there are people who feel like that .. so they dress and act like that ... it will just take sometime more for society to also accept it .. So why shouldn't there be man out there, that will get breasts, as they feel they have a chance in society/are able to take all the blame they might get .. For myself, right now: I don't wish for it.

I guess one thing that got me thinking along these lines is in the past couple of years, I re-read Triton by Samuel R. Delany. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trouble_on_Triton In his futuristic world, physical sexuality, orientation, everything could be altered easily and with little pain. People celebrated their differences and everything was acceptable and changeable on a whim. I remember reading something about there being 22 distinct sexes on Triton. Will society get there in the next two hundred years? Probably.
