      Reality is Dynamic?

I had some interesting thoughts in geometry the other day...
Perhaps reality (and some say dreaming) is dynamic in its essence. It is an idea, or concept that you can only experience linearly. For instance i thought about what was preventing me from levitating RIGHT NOW. What is it? Is it the fact that i accept my past of not being able to? That i believe in the future i will remain in my chair? The only thing that seems to be limiting me is my past and likely future. But as well all know nothing transcends the PRESENT, everything is now or a memmory.

I also was considering what reality would be like if it were a dream.
Assuming that dreams are a given person's representation reality, then perhaps the next level of conciousness (as we know it) is a collective dream. This collective dream is as we would call it "reality". Then i started thinking that since one person controls a dreamscape maybe the collective somehow controls reality. I also considered that reality could be altered if isolated enough...

Perhaps reality is the way it is because everyone accepts it that way and refuses to question it. Perhaps everyone is a prison of their own mind and the habbits that they follow everyday. Does this have something to do with mass hysteria and rioting?

It is hard to put it all into words because its a "dynamic" idea...

Any comments? I'm curious to see where this is leading me.

We are all connected, I have beleived this for quite some time, and second attention brought to light an experiment called the 100th monkey, that has science baffled and confused, much like quantum entanglement.

The Japanese monkey, Macaca fuscata, had been observed in the wild for a period of over 30years. In 1952, on the island of Koshima, scientists were providing monkeys with sweet potatoesdropped in the sand. The monkey liked the taste of the raw sweet potatoes, but they found the dirtunpleasant. An 18-month-old female named Imo found she could solve the problem by washing the potatoes in a nearby stream. She taught this trick to her mother. Her playmates also learned this new wayand they taught their mothers too.

This cultural innovation was gradually picked up by various monkeys before the eyes of the scientists. Between 1952 and 1958 all the young monkeys learned to wash the sandy sweet potatoes to make them more palatable. Only the adults who imitated their children learned this social improvement. Other adults kept eating the dirty sweet potatoes.

Then something startling took place. In the autumn of 1958, a certain number of Koshimam onkeys were washing sweet potatoes -- the exact number is not known. Let us suppose that when the sun rose one morning there were 99 monkeys on Koshima Island who had learned to wash their sweet potatoes. Let's further suppose that later that morning, the hundredth monkey learned to wash potatoes.

THEN IT HAPPENED! By that evening almost everyone in the tribe was washing sweet potatoes before eating them. The added energy of this hundredth monkey somehow created an ideological breakthrough!

But notice: A most surprising thing observed by these scientists was that the habit of washing sweet potatoes then jumped over the sea...Colonies of monkeys on other islands and the mainland troop of monkeys at Takasakiyama began washing their sweet potatoes. Thus, when a certain critical number achieves an awareness, this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind.

Although the exact number may vary, this Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon means that when only a limited number of people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of these people.

But there is a point at which if only one more person tunes-in to a new awareness, a field is strengthened so that this awareness is picked up by almost everyone!

With this in mind the thought of two peoples consiousness bumping into each other in the dream world does not seem so far fetched.

This is an excerpt from the book by Ken Keyes, jr. "The Hundredth Monkey".

Look into morphogenic fields as well as The 100th monkey

Now and the sense of self are real... everything else is a litle mor etricky to figure out... There are rules attached to now though too, the physical laws of this place are in place and have not changed much... Though our perception has, the way we describe them, how we make sense of them, but just like a hacker we are learning the rules of the system and are finding ways to bend the rules. In dream I do not experience the godlike control many have, I need to work to attain my abulities, I need to learn the rules of the world I am in and then how to bend them =)

I've GOT to get that book. Barnes & No-books said they could order it for me, but I just keep putting it off.

Yes, there is something out there that connects all. Some would call it the astral plane, some the spirit world, some the collective unconcious.

Call it what you will, words are just words. I like to hink of it as the Oneness, but again that is just another word, and words can fail sometimes

      Book 4? Foundation and Earth?

I think book 5 was Foundation and Robots?

There are many that believe in Gaia.

Yeah, foundation and earth, where Trevize and whatshisface go and search for the earth, and they find Gaia, and that girl.

The conciousness on Gaia is what those 100 monkeys have but then on a larger scale.

      Sex. Hmm.

Sometimes I jump up, and think about gravity. I just think how weird it is that something is pulling down on you, but it isn't tangible. And it's a constant pull.

I wonder if you could teach a baby that because they have no memory of physical limitation, that they are not limited. If you could ever do that it would show whether it is the mind that is stopping you, or if reality is not a collective dream. Of course, this would be a horrible thing to do to a baby, because they would have to be in complete isolation.

Why would you need more words when you just clearly explained it to all. This is the theory I believe.. yes we are all connected!!!!!! Choose which you believe cause all paths lead to one belief... we are all connected.

      Again:

We are God, God is us, God is everything, we are everything, everything is us, everything is the all, we are the all, the all is us, we are one.

If it was only ourselves that prevented us from levitating then why would dead matter fall to the ground? That would mean that our physical body is different than other matter.

Well, it is our mind that grants this level of unlimitation. Dead matter has no mind with which to act, therefore it has no choice but to follow the 'default laws' - We have a choice, but collectively, we don't realize it. We continue to go with the flow, not questioning doubt, and disbelief restrains us I think.

It's strange though. Here I sit, pretty well aware of many revelations...yet I must not fully believe because I'm still very limited. Belief is a wild thing - you can't control it...it can arbitrarily transform a mind, completely oblivious of rhyme or reason.

Or maybe everyone and everything is connected. Dead matter would float, had they not been bound by our minds to follow the rules that our brains have set before us.
I'm not sure if I really believe that, it just a twist to everything people had said before....

This topic infatuates me. For me, the topic of reality doesn't come unattached to "The Matrix."

The idea that what we truly accept will come true? If that was literally true as of now, much chaos would result. Maybe it's true on some level, but applies to laws under God, whether written or not?

      Holographic Universe

Has anyone read Holographic Universe by Micheal Talbot?
It covers so many wonderful topics, I'm not even sure how to summarize it... Anyway, it's right along the lines of this thread. If you can find it, you should read it.[/i]
