You haven't answered my question in relation to where I got it from yet.

They are essential because you ought to experience all that is offered by life in order to know what you best prefer, etc. Or, simply, to say that you have experienced more instead of isolating more.

You made me raise the question to myself, "Why should we want to experience things?" which also makes me think that this path can lead to "Why should we want to live?"

I think not to hesitate in saying that good exists. Love is always preferable, relating to what you said above, to any other experience or emotion. Surely we have learned that from birth!
