Do souls have different sexes?

I dont know if any of you can tell me some past life experiences BUT if you have are you always as a certain sex? or not? Anyone else have views on this?

I don't think the soul had a specific sex. Though, sometimes I wonder if it has a preffered one.

I always thought your soul as being your mind. and because men and women have such differant attributes I would think that thay would be different. But I get where you are coming from. It is not like you would be considered male or famale like a sex, but mentally differant.

No, I dont think they do, and your soul is not your mind persay, see your mind is also linked to your current body..a human will just never have the ability to think at a certain rate above the absolute maximum for a human, other creatures of other planes can on the other hand. Basicly we are pretty inferior at times. Also, we have several bodies which our soul can inhabit, one for each plane, alot we dont even use yet because the soul is not evolved enough yet (most people only use the pshysical, and sometimes the astral body) and some of these bodies have a gender and some are just made out of pure energy or something else, somethign without a sex. I think they might have a certain preference at points because of their personality, but sometimes a soul just picks another sex because its nessasary for its growth. Thats what I think

Well I have a different view on this topic. I believe the soul is already considered as a pre-determined sex. I believe in an Higer Intelligence that has created us The Almighty GOD. I just feel that before each and everyone of us were created, everything within us was already considered. Our Cultural backgroung, eye color, physical attributes, and anything else that is aquired in life. I just think we were already thought of well before we even exsisted. Thats just my outlook on it all.

I believe that I was at least male two previous lives, and possible a female in one. Though, I don't know too much about her. I know a bit about one male and two much about the other. I was warned once, never ask a question you truly do not want the answer to. Questions about one's past lives can lead to disturbing answers.

I would be happy to just remember one past life =( No matter how disturbing. EDIT: Sorry didn't give my opinion. I believe souls are neither male or female, however, I think that sometimes when a soul reincarnates that it takes some of the attributes from the previous life with it. This COULD explain some of the gender issues that arise from time to time. Why are some men more effeminent? Why are some women more masculine? Could it be carried over from a recent incarnation?

I don't think a soul would carry anything like that seeker and if it did, I think it would balance out after so many lives that it wouldn't be a factor. You live in the present and not the past. It be like if your last life you were an insane murderer, then this life you pick fights a lot because some of its left over. I don't think a soul is one or the other, or even that it perfers one over the other. I think it might like balance though. So if your last 3 lives you where male, maybe your soul would miss a female body and next time you would want to be that.

i didnt read everyone else's posts...which might be detrimental to my health, but there is a difference between sex and gender...sex = what you got between your legs, gender = how masculine/feminine you perceive yourself...i believe your soul has a gender, yes...

Curious werby, wouldn`t a soul be something detachable from your body? Your body produces hormones that make you either masculine or feminine. Pump a woman full of testosterone and most likely she isn`t going to be the poster child for feminazi's. I believe the soul contains no sex what so ever, if a soul even exists.

take a look into gender dysphoriation...i think thats how you spell it..its called gender confusion, where you're born one gender, but associate with the other...it is a very disorienting, emotionally traumatic, even painful to some...although it is considered a disorder, they usually fix it by having that person cross over to the other gender (this is where transgender came about)...the person is not born with the wrong hormones or anything, in fact, in these individuals, they find their bodies are exactly the same and functioning properly as any individual of their given sex...when they cross over, they start taking hormones for the other gender, and dressing and acting like the other gender, usually getting surgery to correct other physical attributes to that of the gender they perceive themself to be...so, ya...pwned

One thing that needs to be understood in the question is the Process variable which u could call Gender. In a physical sense it applies, but soulda are a new concept, maybe there is no gender or more than 2, so its like a lab experiment uve gotta know ur constants and variables ...if that makes sense

Well, what exactly makes the other sex different? Besides body and sexual preferance. Souls don't have bodies..and I think that its mainly instinct that people have sex. So there wouldn't be sexual preferance. If there is any other differences I think that they might have sexes. But other than that I doubt it. If you believe in re-encarnation too then one of your past lives could be a girl if you are a male..Yeah.

Id assume it was random at the start and after 2 past lives gets started from there... of course, since your soul is technically not affected by time or space, my theory kinda doesnt make sense...

I think Souls have a specified gender at som extent, but not 100%. The reason is that all people have both feminine and masculine aspects of how they think. So a average woman would be like 70% feminine and 30 % masculine. And a average man would be like 70 % masculine, and 30 % feminine. And this has to do with the Soul, I think. I would say a feminine Soul is about 70 % feminine, and a masculine Soul about 70 % masculine. There is, in my opinion, a big misconcept that hormones like testosterone affect much the way we think. Of course testosterone can make a person think more masculine at some extent, but however how much you know about a person's mind on a forum, for instance, you cannot really know how high testosterone levels that person has. Most of the 'side effects' of testosterone is physical, like beard, strong body and deep voice. Of course, a persons feelings could have a connection with hormones, but does not neccesarily affect the way of thinking. (If we consider that feelings and thoughts is two different 'mediums'.) A other reason I think Souls have a specified gender at some extent, is that some people feel like they actually are the opposite gender in reality. A woman could know quite well she is in a female body, but she also feel like her mind is masculine. I read something about this a long time ago. Things like that doesn't happen often, but it does happen. And this support this Soul theory,- her Soul is propably only beetween 30-40 % feminine, and hence 60-70% masculine, so she generally feel she is a man when she is not focused on her female body. On a side note, I know this gender changes on this forum is just for fun, and does not have anything with a feeling of being the opposite gender. So I am not fooled.
