Free Mason Fraternity...Mason's urging friends to join?

I know little of masonry and what I do know is from documentaries I DVR'd on the history channel, etc. I have a friend who is a free mason and is urging some of our other friends to join the free mason's. Apparently one night he had a little much to drink and divulged some masonic "Secrets" to my friend who in turn relayed to me that the end of the world is near and it has alot to do with the Mayan Calender/ I Ching theory of the year 2012...
I'm very interested. Anyone else heard of supposed free mason secrets? My friend who is a free mason is very well read and intellectual guy, I can't imagine him just going for stuff like this without some kind of reasonable information being presented to him.
I wish so badly I was male so I could infiltrate the local free mason lodge!!!!!!!!

My kindergarten was owned by a lady whose husband was there a lot. I thought he was the owner, but I recently researched it and found out that she was the owner. Any way, her husband must have been the manager or something. He was there all the time, and he was the force of discipline there. He was ex-Navy and very militaristic acting, and he had all of the kids very reluctant to piss him off. I looked him up on Google recently and learned that he is a 32nd degree Mason. Legend has it that people that high up in the Masons are members of the Illuminati, the secret organization (secret even within the Masons) that controls the world and even tells government leaders what to do. There are all kinds of books about how the Illuminati is in communication with our alien creators from the Sirius star system and that they have a lot to do with what goes on in the world. Interesting stuff. The best book about that subject is Robert Anton Wilson's book Cosmic Trigger Vol. 1: Final Secret of the Illuminati.

wait sooo...a WOMAN owned the lodge? I thought women were forbidden from free mason activity? It is a university...
But anyways, yea, I've also heard about the illuminati theory.
Supposedly in the year 2012 the galaxy is going to allign with a black hole and we will all see "the divine light" and start a new course in human history with powers long lost to man...?? This was all related to me from an actual free mason for those who didn't read the initial post.

Universal Mind- what is the Sirius star system? Not sure if I've heard of that.

I heard the whole free-mason cult is been mainstream for quite some years now. Just a silly club. Funny they have this 2012 myth. I doubt any mason believes that.

What? Freemasons don't think the world will end in 2012, thats the biggest load of crap that I've heard. They actually do decent things like give to charities, infact they gave more money to the Tsunami charity then some governments.

hmm heard of them before, very charitable, however im sure they dont believe the world ends in 2012. They seem more of a religious "club", im not saying their not serious, but you dont have to be Christian to join. Basicly you have to believe in a supreme being(God) and be good of character, be a man( i think that is important), have a clean body( no drugs). I'm not exactly sure what they believe though, i know they have alot of ranks of membership and you swear to a secrecy pact so you don't tell other people what goes on, so i don;t know what they do. But it doesn't matter, they give a lot of money to charity and i have heard of them being very nice people bar the secrecy that may make them seem odd, so they are in my good books.:p

Basically you have to a be a good honest person, not necessarilly belive in religion, but it helps to be a Christian. Also if you have a clean record with the law ect then you can join. However you must be invited first.

I said my kindergarten was owned by a woman, not a Masonic lodge. The owner's husband is a 32nd degree Mason, which legend says means he is a member of the Illuminati.

The Sirius star system is, I think, a situation where two stars revolve around each other. One of them is Sirius, also known as "the dog star". Ancient people had myths/beliefs about it. They said that the aliens who created us are from there. The book I talked about discusses the idea a lot. Supposedly, ancients knew things about the star system before the telescope was invented and that were later confirmed by telescopes.

Universal Mind- LMAO about the kindergarten thing, hahaa, sorry!! I must have misread that!!

Yea, the free masons are supposed to be linked to all sorts of ancient secrets and are the keepers of them.

Neavo- How do you know! Are you a Free Mason? I heard this stuff from an actual Free Mason...granted a little tipsy, but sounding seriously concerned stating that it is imperitive to join and the Free Masons will be at the forefront of what happens in 2012. Just because the Free Masons are charitible and generally good people does NOT mean that they AREN'T the holders of ancient secrets which will play out in the near future. Like Universal Mind said before they had knowledge of a star system before telescopes were even invented to confirm so!! That's awesome.

We must not be skeptical!! Let's keep an open mind on this topic.

I hope more people who come along who know more about the Mason's.

I see, but how can we REALLY know!! Afterall it is somewhat of a mystery cult shrowded in secrets. How can we actually know, sans joining the Masons, that all of that is unbased fiction?

Someone once told me that this pope would be the last... 20 years ago, along with the name…

I hear all the names have been written down a long time ago by an early pope (or high ranked clergy man) that was said to be able to see the future… But they use the document to select the name so that kinda nullifies the whole effect.

It's scary to think that some people may have information, be it a man made thought out plan of self fulfilling destiny written out for mankind or some kind of secret about reality or origins and such.... In any case. I leave that stuff alone... I'm not in on it. So I don't care...

In texas we once had a cult that thought jesus was coming because they assumed Garland meant Godland. Actually this was kind of the point that I was trying to make with what I posted here. We can all find a answer in something that may not be there. Our worldly views could the reason because we try to give everything a meaning.

The end of the world is no different. We can't believe that we as a civiliation might actually live longer then what was written. I actually used to have dreams every now and then that showed events of my own life. The thing is this wasn't something I myself could control it just happen randomly in the dream event. Just because I had the dream didn't mean I could change the event because it wasn't till after the event that the filling of wait haven't I done this before or been here before.

I like to think that maybe the awakening will happen and we are on the edge of it. BTW I think I might die somewhere around that time. I'm not going to push my own death, but instead live for the now and make what I can of this life. If nothing happens hey no worries because we get to live another day. Oh you do know that it calendar is off don't you? 2000 wasn't the real turning point of it. We maybe off by 10 to 12 years if I remember right.

BTW from my own experiences one should find their own reason for living don't just try to believe the end will happen but make a better life for yourself. If you get lost in what you do not understand then try to calm yourself and restart a new. Our meaning and reason might not always be the truth of reality at that moment in time.

Bible codes, I could proberly buy a willie the poo book and find all the names of the pope if I try hard enough. The people who claim the pope thing are wrong, I can get you the source debunking it.
But anyways, yea, I've also heard about the illuminati theory.
Iluuminati died long ago. If it wasen't for a work of fictional book called the illuminati no one would believe in them. Saying that the illuminati myth is not as bad as the moon landing and 9/11 conspricy.

You got christian with jesus is coming back the rapture, then the Y2K virsus wiping out mankind, Nostradum people saying were going to die now, Nuclear war and finally 2012. The world is not going to end however their will still be gulliable people who believe it will. Global warming could possibly be on their.

It funny how every 100 years people thought they were in the brink of humanity and the world will end. Collaspe of Rome, Death of Egypt, Break up off the church, Cursades, gallieo, the nun prediction that the world would end because a comet will hit venus e.t.c.

First 2000 and when 2012 comes I bet the date will change to like 2040 or something.

I'm not a follower of religion nor do I "like" cults. Actually, just about every religions body is a "cult", technically. And finally, I don't trust/like organizations that feel they must be so damn secretive. Plain and simple. I'm not saying the Masons are "bad" people but I don't like the way they conduct business.

If you search the Internet under "Masonic secrets" you'll find a bunch of websites that expose a bunch of what they're about.

And, yes, I know that many of America's best presidents were masons. I still don't like the idea of their little secretive footsie games.

I have decided that on December 21, 2012, I am going to have an end of the world party. It will be fun because that date is the one I have heard from so many different schools of thought that the world is going to end. I first read about that date in a Terrence McKenna book in 1995, and I have come across it from many different sources and even types of sources since then. That day is going to be a trip.

Masons are intresting, The founding fathers of America were masons. Joseph Smith was a 32nd degree mason so I can't see anything wrong with it. I need to find a mason to give me an invitation!
