Has anyone heard of the law of "attraction"?

If you have do you believe in it?

I always thought that there is another form of control or celestial governer in this universe, that governs what people get or recieve by their own wish or worthy status. I think that I've sensed something similar to this ever since very young. But until I heard of this law, I wonder if this could be it?
When I dream, theres always a
little girl playing in the dirt, that
turns to me and says "Why are
you here? .... Are you blind like
      me?"

      What I've found
      What I've known
Never shined to me what I've shown
      Never be
      Never free
I wish to see what might have been...
...So I talk to you unbeliever.

I walk in the rain. 1111

I think the idea that thoughts attract corresponding experiences is based entirely on confirmation bias.

IZ, I've heard of the law of attaction and I do believe in it somewhat.

It is how all things, wanted and unwanted, are brought to you by the most powerful law of the universe, the Law of Attraction (that which is like unto itself is drawn).

“Like attracts like” or “It is done unto you as you believe”. Basically, the "law of attraction" is the thesis that one's positive thoughts are powerful magnets that attract wealth, health, happiness, etc.

"The Secret" is based on the law of attraction:

AFAIK the law of attraction doesn't take any account of worthy status, only wishes, as you put it. Which on its own just sounds gleefully amoral to me.

Positive thoughts build your confidence, and anything that makes you confident makes it easier to accomplish things. Doesn't mean it's a mystic force that "attracts" the wealth and success. You can't attract abstract concepts like "wealth"...

I say, expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised if you're wrong. That way you're never disappointed.
