      PJ says no more Bible Studies??

      ok PJ one of the administrators said that there will be no more bible studies or any *studies* of any religion he said quote "Its getting stupid i am locking it"

      I thought this was a religion forum where everyone was able to state their opinions/views on Religion? is it not?

      The redundancy and pointlessness of the bible lessons was getting old. If I'm correct, not one of them stayed on topic even for the first page. I frankly don't care because I know how to understand the Bible.

      Ok... I'll explain myself, though it is probably futile and it is not something that I will be getting into the habit of doing.

      Here's exactly what was said:

      NO MORE "BIBLE LESSONS", real, satirical, ironic or otherwise.

      That is not what this forum is for. This is getting freaking stupid.

      I'm locking them all.
      This was at the end of "Bible Lesson 6" - a series that was going increasingly astray from what the first three "lessons" were about, and which were multiplying at an increasing rate.

      It is one thing to be here discussing and arguing religion. It is quite another thing to begin using the forum for "Bible studies," and STILL another thing for everybody to suddenly think starting identically named threads with a variety of motives is a good idea.

      I said nothing even remotely similar to what was alleged in the first post of this thread. What I said was "That is not what this forum is for." This is a LUCID DREAMING FORUM, people! This increasingly ridiculous R&S forum was a compromise as these discussions got out of hand in the rest of the forum.

      The R&S forum is not here for you to move your church or bible study group into - whether your "church" is Christian or Atheist or anything else. Discuss and argue away, but enough of the redundant threads titled "Bible Lesson #".

      The number of threads was getting ridiculous. We would have been in the hundreds in a matter of weeks. There was no reason not to keep it in one thread.

      And that would have been a better solution - merging the threads rather than locking them.
