      What is God?

I believe that many people have arguments on "God" because my "God" and your "God" don't mean the same thing.

First of all I'm Christian. I know all the theology on Christianity ( Zodiac, Horus,) And I do not literally believe almost anything in the bible.

So how am I a Christian?

When I say I'm Christian, I mean that I strive to be Jesus. His story touches, and inspires me like no other. He idol. Religion is basically an example of philosophy, and can be a story.

I study theoretical physics, and my definition of God is as simple as this.

      God=Energy.

Both are infinite, and have no end, only the ability to transform. And if energy has no end, then I have no end. Everything is made of energy. Matter is frozen energy, and subatomic particles break down into bundles of energy. It is very offensive for people to automatically think I'm an ignorant fool, who does not have logical sense. It does not make logical sense for people to generalize me.

I'm not only a Christian, but a Buddhist. The true meaning of religion is its philosophies, and its truth is read in between the lines. If it did not have truth, it would have not been manipulated and used for greed as it had in the past. Religion give hope. And hope is all there is.

I like how you think ... in part at any rate

I think that to call God energy is to call the sun a glowing coal. God is much, much more then that. I believe Him to be The Creator of everything: The Master planner and Architect. He makes both functionality and beauty. He is the Sustainer, the foundation upon which the whole universe - all universes - depends. He is also, I feel, possibly its Destroyer, but that is an issue which I am still debating with myself and others ...

Yes, but its the closest word I can find for God. I just do not like how people invision him as a conscious being, who has a human personality. Its beyond my comprehension what infinity is.

How so? What bothers you about that? Once again, I think to call God a conscious being is to lower Him to a level like us. Do you feel that God is an uncaring Force, with no capacity for "Thought"?

We are one. We are all God, and God is each of us. We are all the same. (Only most of us don't know it yet and spend our whole life defining the differences - what a waste!)

My own personal belief is that "we're all grey, where it matters".
I see no color. The same is true of whatever your religious beliefs are, I may find them [extremely] funny but that doesn't deny you the right to believe whatever you want, all I ask is the same tolerance.

I have thought about this too. It makes sense, considering:

      - Energy always will be
      - Everything is made from energy
      - Energy cannot be destroyed

      - When you die, your energy flows back into the universe a kind of "soul", perhaps?

Minus any kind of planning or thought that went into the universe, that definition comes to...

      Energy!

Sorry to double post but I didn't see this.
Energy is spread in instant speed. The reason is because all energy is connected. ( Energy is theorized to have all come from one point, therefore all electron are entangled, hence gravity ) I believe when you die all your brain waves, matter, and energy from your body dissipates into the universal spectrum becoming infinite in itself, in everything that happens, inside the ones you love, and on the other side of the universe. Not in a conscious mind but a perfect form. ( Angels? Heaven? )

We must remember there is much we don't know about what lies outside reality.

KEEPER : I'm against people thinking God has a human mind, not for it.

Ah! I see now. I agree; God's mind is infinitely more vast then our own.

This then raises the question of what is reality.

I think the same as you! God is energy, but a better way of putting it, because all is energy like einstein mathematicly deducted (e=mc&#178... is, that God is ALL.
